Remarks
The admission in the college was through cut off. After clearing the cutoff, I went to the Admission window of the college. Fill up the required forms for the admission process and submitted them. It was a very heavy task as I have to stand in a queue (separate for each task) for a whole day and that too for continuous two days. Thanks to the Digitisation of colleges, now it has pretty improved. The good aspects of the college are some of the teachers that were really helpful. (provided you take a keen interest in your studies). The infrastructure was gradually improving when I was in college. The management was poor, the reason for which students had to face many difficulties. Its less participation in extracurricular activities like theatre programs, annual conventions were some of the bad aspects of the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Economic Hons is one of the toughest courses at the University of Delhi. I choose this course due to my initial interest in Economics. The faculty: student ratio was quite good. We have a separate teacher for each subject. Some of the faculty members were extremely good and some are average. Exams were conducted timely and yes there were difficult to pass.
Placement Experience
The placement cell of the college was not at all good at least during my time. I didn't see anyone getting placed in my class. Most of my colleagues joined the MA Programme in different colleges for better career opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee of the course was minimal and the cost to study was very less. There was an option of scholarship assistance to students belonging to poor families. The job prospects through the college were really bad.
Campus Life
The annual fest was quite exciting and our college never misses organizing the annual fest. They are conducted in the month of February. The library has an extensive collection of books and journals. One can easily borrow course books from the library at a very minimal rate. No such amenities in classrooms..just normal chairs and tables.
