For my CAT rank, I got shortlisted for all baby IIMs, In the baby IIMs, IIM Vizag is one of the best so I had chosen this college. For our batch due to covid, the admission process was different. We had submitted our application and SOP. Based on that we were offered admission. I used pagayguy as a reference.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen Finance as I am interested in it. Most of the faculties are PhDs from reputed colleges. Pedagogy is different for each professor. Term exams were on time. You can't really all exams are difficult to pass or all are easy to pass, it's subject-based.
Internships Opportunities
This year brands like 4tigo, ICICI Lombard, MTR, Modern Food, Dalmia, Heritage Foods, Hi care, Lubrizol, TBO holidays etc participated in the summer internship process. Companies offered roles in different domains.
Placement Experience
Our campus placement process is a rolling one so the preparation for the placements starts in the 1st term itself. For our batch, 100% of students got placed for the summer internship process. The highest and average package details can be checked on the college website.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college fee for our batch was approximately 15.4 lakhs. This includes tution fee, caution and mess fee. College offers financial assistance to the students based on their economic status. Besides college will also give us updates on other government scholarships for students who would like to apply.
Campus Life
MBA campus life is a vibrant one. Due to Covid, we couldn't go to college for most of the year. All the fests we had were online. We had a business conclave. We had a cultural fest in March. Classrooms amenities are very good. There are a lot of clubs and committees in IIM Vizag like finance club, operations club, consulting club, marketing, vatsalya for the social cause, and cultural clusters etc.
Hostel Facilities
IIM Vizag doesn't have a permanent campus so as of now they have makeshift hostels spread over 4 buildings in Vizag. Meal quality is good and the menu changes frequently based on the student's request. We dont have any specific registration process for the hostel.
