Remarks
Since IIM Visakhapatnam is one of the 3rd generation IIMs but it is performing at par with the 2nd generation IIMs in terms of placements given program fees is less than 2nd gen IIMs, hence one could expect good ROI. Since it had initially mentor by IIM Bangalore, IIM-V gets prominent visiting faculty from the IIM-B for various courses and electives. Also, the current batch strength of IIM-V is approx. 140, which is very low as compared to other 2nd and older IIMs. One major disadvantage is not having a permanent campus, which is expected to be completed by Dec 2021. But, on the other side, the current IIM-V's setup has hostels on the beach of Visakhapatnam. The major reason for preferring IIM-V is that its one of the fastest-growing among the 3rd gen IIMs and its location advantage, Visakhapatnam being the financial capital of Andhra Pradesh. The admission process is quite similar to other IIMs, shortlisting based on CAT, academics, work experience, etc followed by an interview.

All faculties are extremely qualified with Phds in various domains and students get to review faculties every term. IIM-V has maintained 1:7 faculty to students ratio.

As per the institute's policy, the charges for the hostel are not charged separately from the program fees, hence students won't find specific fees charged for accommodation in the fees structure.
