My experience at D J SANGHVI

This college has it's pros and cons. Talking about the pros, this college is Autonomous not only that it comes under top 5 colleges in Mumbai. One bad thing about this college is it does not have a good campus and food available in the canteen is not so good. Students can take admission in this college through CET merit or through ILS round. To proceed for the admission students need to visit official website of the college i.e. djsce.ac.in. This college has an awesome infrastructure and all classrooms are fully air conditioned. Also the physics chemistry and other laboratories are well equipped. This college has an outstanding foyer space and the attendance is taken on the basis of biometric. Every students are supposed to scan their id's and give their biometric before entering the college foyer.

The reason behind choosing chemical engineering was because I was interested in the field of chemistry. The faculty of this course is very helpful and supportive. There are total 10 faculties in this course and the students are 60.So the faculty is to student ratio is 1:6.The faculty members are very well qualified. Some have completed their masters from IIT Bombay and some have completed their PhD in Thermodynamics.

Internship opportunities for Computer Science and IT students are very high as compared to other fields. Many companies such as Accenture, Infosys give internship to these students. Stipend for Computer Science students is between 80000 to 87000 per month.

Students become eligible for the campus placements from Seventh semester. The companies visiting this college are Wipro, Infosys and many more renowned companies. 80% students get the placements offered by the companies. The highest package offered was 1800000. Most of the students plan to go for higher studies rather than applying for a job.

The fees of this college for the general category is 180000.Students can apply for the scholarship through Mahadbt portal. The criteria for this scholarship is: Income of their family should be less than 800000. They should have their ration card. The students need to submit the Income Tax certificate to avail the scholarship along with ration card.

TRINITY is the biggest cultural and technical fest held by this college. The fest is of 3 days full of enjoyment and learning. The library of this college is very well equipped with variety of books and journals from different fields. The classroom is fully air conditioned with a smart board installed. This college has their own sports teams with variety of sports involved such as basketball, football, volleyball, etc
