Course Curriculum Overview
Course is good, you'll get dual degree in 5 years,you will be benefited in that way.Faculties are well qualified (PhDs) and the ratio is 50:1,teaching is very good,In a semester you'll be writing 2 Mid terms known as CAT (Continuous Assessment Test) and one FAT (Final Assesment Test) And the difficulty of passing depends on the subject and the faculty including assessments and assignments you need to get 50/100 to pass.
Internships Opportunities
In 5th year you have to do 2 major projects which are around 24 credits if you get an internships the project you do in the company can be considers under these credits so if you get those internships you'll get stipend based on your knowledge,will get paid like 25000,projects like web development etc.
Placement Experience
After the completion of 8th semester students will be eligible to placements, Phillips,TCS, Nokia,Cognizant,wipro,google,microsoft,20 LPA,80% Of the students will get placed
College Events
Life at campus is good,There will be two annual fests one is Techno VIT celebrated in Chennai campus and Riveria on vellore campus both these campus students can attend one others event Techno VIT will be held in March and Rivera will be held in April,There are many clubs both curricular and extra curricular you'll get more exposure to tech, social and fun elements there,www.nss.vit.ac.in
Fee Structure And Facilities
For my course there are three categories for the first category, you have to pay 96000 and for the second category 153000 and for the third category 196000.Merit will be offered 12000 and financial assistance every year based on their performance.
Hostel Facilities
You have to choose the room like how you want AC non AC, double,triple,four,six bedded room.Meal quality is ok, registration If you're joining for the first time you should select along with the admission like you should check the box I want accommodation in hostel and later like from second year you want to join in hostel should consult warden in hostel office, campus hostel also few PGs re available near campus itself with in walkabale distance.
Admission
There is no test for my course,you have to register by enrolling your intermediate marks and you'll be shortlisted and given a rank and once you've been called to counselling you should choose the campus category based onthe availability of seats.
