Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is of high quality and perfectly in sync with the industry standards. The course is designed in such a way that we become very good managers. The course is a dual specialization course with marketing as the mandatory topic which is an added advantage.
Internships Opportunities
The course curriculum includes a summer internship of three months (80 days) which is mandatory for all the students. The stipend is company based. The students have the option to get into a company for internship by themselves or get a company for internship through the college. The stipend ranges from 5000/- to 20000/- a month.
Placement Experience
The college offers campus placements. The companies which came for placements in 2015 include - Deloitte, Asian paints, Axis Bank, South Indian Bank,TCS, Indusind bank,Godrej, Icici Bank, Blue Star, Bajaj Electricals, Colgate, Idea, Aditya Birla. The CTC ranged from 4.5 - 7.2 lacs.
College Events
SCMS holds SHIKHAR which is an Inter collegiate techno management fest. We conduct it in alternate years. The college conducts Industry Institute Interaction (III) every week. In addition to this the college has Intergrated Management Learning Programme (IMLP) which happens twice every semester.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible with the facilities and the infrastructure provided. The fee structure is 1,10,000/- every semester for all six semesters.
Fees and Financial Aid
The bank has scholarship for students with a good score in MAT and also 40% scholarship (fee reimbursement) for students with 2 years of work experience. The college has tied up with many nationalized banks for offering educational loans. And all the loan related documents are provided to the student at the time of admission.
Campus Life
The campus life is great but quite hectic too. My batch has a good mix of boys and girls and the college has a good diaspora with students from different parts of the country coming to the college. The gender ratio is 1:1. Student workshops are arranged every semester. And the college is strict with regards to any gender bias or race or religion based bias.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are very good with the Girls hostel in the campus and Boys hostel very near to the college. The hostels are wifi occupied and The mess food is also good. Meetings are held every 2 months with the students to the discuss any issues with food. The food quality is perfect with the price charged.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a great alumni network. We have Alumni chapters in many cities in India and also in Dubai. SCMS conducts alumni meet every year in all these cities and the Alumni are invited to the college to share their valuable experiences with us. The alumni has always been a great strength to the college.
Exam Structure
The curriculum includes 6 Trisemesters. The first year (3 Sems) is common for all. The second year 4th sem is internship. 5 & 6 semesters are the specialization. In each semester we have a mid term exam and an end term exam followed by a course viva. We do have labs and yes its a hectic day.
Faculty
We have the best faculty at our college. The faculty are highly experienced and all are well qualified. We have faculties who have at least 10 years of industry experience, since the college highly believes in the aspect of experiential learning we get to learn a lot from the personal experiences of our faculties which cannot be found in any text books.
