Course Curriculum Overview

B.Tech in Civil Eng. was chosen by me as a safety net as the sector is something my family is involved in and Manipal has world-class labs and infrastructure for the course. Manipal also gives me ample opportunity to grow and pursue my other interests.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 1540000 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester. Eighty percent of students get placed. Top placement given: 22 lacs Average placement: 6 lacs. Number of offers: 781Various companies like IBM, Microsoft, Accenture, Amazon, KPMG, Delloite visit.

College Events

Two fests happen in an academic year. A cultural fest called Revels in February and a technical fest called Techtatva that is held in October. There are many sports facilities available, including two swimming pools, various gyms, athletic tracks, etc.

The infrastructure of the hostels is grand. The hostels are neat and tidy with laundry and room service available every alternate day. The cost is above average when compared to Indian standards but then the amenities provided are great too. The wardens are friendly too.

My experience with Scaler School of Technology - A brief review

Placement Experience:

First of all, there isn't a passed out batch yet(as of 2025). The first batch enrolled in 2023 and they are currently in internship period as they've planned. Placement will be offered at the end of 4th year. Although for internships, around 50+ companies visited and 96% of students got internships. The average stipend was 30,000 INR and the highest stipend was 200,000 INR (non-domestic). My plans after getting the degree are to gain some experience and go for a masters in business if possible.

In first year they have many subjects of all course which are basic and fundamentals of all branches Some are good in real world application They should add more practical stuff then theories We have 1 to 1½ month gap betwen internals and some 10 days gap between 2nd internal and sem difficult level varies every year

I was already preparing for CA since my 12th standard. I needed to pursue a degree that would not take too much of my time. The admission was merit-based so I didnt have to worry about giving entrance exam. I got admission easily here, since the process was simple.

The Pros and Cons of being a student at MIT Manipal

I tried JEE but could not secure a good enough percentile to get into prominent NITs. MIT Manipal seemed to be better than any of the cet colleges with only the course fee being slightly on the higher end. I applied to SRM and VIT, both of which i got accepted into, but opted out as it seemed like both of these colleges rely heavily on student intake and are money minded. MIT Manipal has an exam called the MET which is based on a jee scheme (+3 -1). In my year the only marks required to secure a seat in the college was the MET but the scheme has changed and now board marks are also taken into consideration. JEE percentile can also be considered if the student secures above 95 , but most students take MET and are given ranks according to it....Read More

For you to get the Manipal name you have you give met which is Manipal Entrance Test. You have to score above 40 to get any seat in manipal.After that there are three rounds of counselling which you have to clear .. the college does not support any sort of reservation..
