Remarks

Since the college has become autonomous the management has become more active it seems. The sports grounds could be more well maintained than they are.A few labs still have some outdated equipment which needs to be looked at.

Entrance Preview

I took the JEE mains exam which was the qualification criteria for my batch. Along with that the 12 board exam or HSC marks were also considered. I chose it because it had a very good reputation I recent years

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The subjects were as follows for the firsthand second semesters:Applied mathematics 1, applied physics 1, applied chemistry 1, engineering mechanics, basic electronics and electrical engineering, fundamentals of computer programming, engineering graphics, EvS, communication skills

Internships Opportunities

I haven't been to internship by the college yet but internships are provided every end of semester. Interested students have to approach the faculty in charge and all details are provided to them. Companies from outside campus as well as in campus startups provide internships to students

Placement Experience

4.5

Most of the students of KJSCE are placed before they actually complete their graduation, The placement activities are carried out when the students are in the final year. Number of companies visit and select the students through campus recruitment drives. Placement and exact package figures are given in detail on the college website.

College Events

4.5

Various events are held by the college all year round and many of them are on a large scale. Technical event, abhiyantriki, cultural, symphony etc take place and various councils are formed and students are involved. All this helps in developing different skill sets of a student.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Rs. 1,10,583/year, Keeping the facilities and infrastructure in mind, the tuition fee is exorbitant. But this was a couple of years back. The fees vary in different categories . It's now around 1,20,000 for the general category.

Fees and Financial Aid

A number of scholarships are offered to students of families below a certain income group ( at least 2-3) I have heard of Many of them Are also on merit.

Campus Life

4.5

Not a very good gender ratio in most classes, mostly 40:25 in most divisions. Mostly urban, open minded crowd. (Majority gujju crowd though) but you will also find nerdy, cool, and all other kinds of people.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facilities are heard to be good and area boon for students coming from outside Mumbai. The food in the mess is delicious and reasonable. People not staying in the hostel also come to eat in the mess. Often.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni usually only have good things to say about the college. Most say that it has changed very fast and a lot of positive developments have taken place over the years.

Exam Structure

Exams are taken regularly and may not be big problem for most students as the are an important part of the continuous assessment exam structure of the college. Submissions are to be done regularly for various assignments and lab exp journals

Faculty

4.5

The faculty, overall quite good. All of them are highly qualified and most of them are very experienced. Most of them are very approachable and helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
