Remarks

Overall was good but always felt that some teachers were biased to a section of college group

Entrance Preview

No Entrance examinations as this was direct entry to 2nd year and the prerequiste was HSC or Diploma. Got through diploma 70 %

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well its not that inclined towards research but its more for getting into a good job or admission abroad. There are projects in the last 2 years and they can be more innovative provided the maturity of the guide, selection of the projects & content is good

Internships Opportunities

No our college does not provide any internship. however we get placements after the complete or 4th years 7th sem

Placement Experience

3

The placements are good and they are bad . good when the overall market is good which is what it was from 1999 to 2001. bad when the global market is not great which is from 2001 to 2003 when IT was bad. they offer better than market rates for us TCS, Tech Mahindra offered 2.2 lakh/annum which is better than others that time.

College Events

3.5

Symphony was one of the biggest and successful event organised in our college. and there was a tech feastival also arranged every 2 years, Overall the program was big where we had fashion shows, musical concert, participations from individual and whole lot of other programs

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible overall but I feel it was expensive that time. Although in the current context the fees were quiet reasonable when we compare. but having said that compared to other similar educational institutes that time were similar in fee structure

Fees and Financial Aid

It was not the college offering any loans or so but it was the external institutes offering similar type of scholarship on the fees taken by the college

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio was 65-35 for male-female and there were good participants in the cultural activities those days with a focus of tech activities also . having said that we didnt have any foreign students on non indian origin that time. all the students were equally treated and there was no religion, race, economic status flaunted.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel was good with rooms not in that great conditions . but since I was a localite never had a liberty to experience the life of hostel that time. So I was just listening to people / friends who stayed in hostel that time. but I dont know how was the re

Alumni/Alumna

There was very less to negligible help from the seniors that time and the alumni of the college was weak those days. Its in process of improvement still

Exam Structure

It was chilled out when I see it now, but it was the way we handled the subjects with most of the activities done at the end and they brought to a lot of similar attitude in future activities within an individual. labs sessions were much relaxed for us du

Faculty

3

Yes they were qualified but some of them were not that interested or generated enough interests for the students to pursue the subjects with passion. so this is both the ways as well to describe but teachers are more matured than students at that time to

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
