Orissa JEE 2008 I scored 3404 Rank in State. I have opted OEC through BPUT counselling. The process of counselling done through Orissa JEE rank.I have admitted through genuine govt fee quota not donation seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum were just changed in our time to cope of with the current trend. Many new courses were introduced like Environmental Engineer, Engineering Economics ,Renewable Energy sources and many more along with traditional Electrical subjects.

Internships Opportunities

Yes . I was there into Orissa Power transfer corporation limited and CTTC as well. Training and placement program was best and was conducted by Infosys and Corporate gurukul as well

Training and placement program was best and was conducted by Infosys and Corporate gurukul as well.We went to Infosys for 1 day workshop. I got through Tcs campus recruitment.it was the best experience I had. I also got the opportunity to seat in other campus as well like Enzen electrical , Syntex Rubber.

Faculties were a combinations of enormous experienced and energetic fresh and young lecturers. Most of them were from IIT , NIT and State Govt colleges. Overall studies was good in a note. GC Martha Asst prof of Electrical engineering was the best technical faculty at that time in our college

Placement Experience:

Placement is good average package is 8-9 lpa and above 85% student is placed last year with good package and few get less bocz of some reason. I fully do not agree on average package bcoz the fee of 4 year is about 20 lakhs including hostel and mess and other all the things

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

An Honest Review of My college Experience

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies visited to our college like Tata,Wipro, TCS, Infosys and Accenture etc . Our highest package in computer science is 1200000 per annum and Average package is 500000 per annum. Percentage of students getting placement is actually varies by year and course and average 40 to 50% students get the placement offers . My plan is qualifying gate with a good rank and do my higher study mtech.

In 6th semester, Placement opportunities are available and the criteria is more than 7.0 CGPA,No backlog. Based on the company criteria Many companies like TCS,Tech Mahindra, Wipro,Q-spider, Flipkart, Infosys, Aditya Birla group and 50+ others companies,No offers more than 330+ 75% of students are placed. Highest package is 18 lacs and Average package is 3lakhs based on the companies. More than 75% were getting placements. My plan is to getting placed in company approx package 6lacs per annum with job security

OEC- college worth every penny

The admission process was quite simple. Just needed to appear the counselling session of ojee. One can choose ojee marks or jee mains marks for appearing in counselling. Everything was done online. The eligibility of the mentioned course was passed 12th with physics, chemistry and math with an aggregate of 45% and overall percentage more than 60%. The application form of ojee and jee mains can be found in their respective websites. Application fees of both the exams are different. Then after the results, one have to apply for the counselling process in which you have to select different colleges and different courses of your choice in your preferred serial number. And then the choices have to be locked by visiting the ojee counselling nodal center. And once any college and course have been alloted one has to visit the respective college sites for document verification and payment of fees. Condition of my college today

Placements are good untill last year this year it's impossible to tell whether the college will continue or not because the director Suprita Pattnaik takes the fees from the students from time to time but don't care about them after that even in the worst conditions like the just passed cyclone fani which almost destroyed the college she came the other day only to see what damage occured in the building and she didn't cared if the students are alive or dead...Read More
