Remarks

Considering every institution has a management which is bit resistive to all the demands of students the overall rating would be 3.5/5. Hostel should be improved.

Entrance Preview

Wrote the Karnataka Common Entrance Test(CET) and got a decent rank of 7518. I chose this collegefor few reasons. It is only 60KM from Bangalore. The college campus is full with lush green trees making an ideal and peaceful place to study. It was ranked in the Top 10 colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is not exam oriented but importance is given for projects and research.

Internships Opportunities

No paid internship. But industry based training is provided. Various industries are engaged in giving training and internship(without pay).

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement is pretty good. Close to 90% of the eligible students are placed. Major companies are TCS,Quest global,Jindal,Rane groups,Wipro constructions. Package ranging from 3.35- 5.0 LPA. The majority companies are from IT. But you are offered mechanical engineering related profile in the job.

College Events

Regular seminars are conducted on recent trends in industry. We have national level technical symposium every year and once in 3 years its international level. You also have college fest,ethnic day and so many cultural events through out the year. The turn out in the events is satisfactory.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible if u are through CET. 40 thousand per annum. If through COMEDK (For out state students) it is close to 1.25 lakhs per annum. Management seat is variable according to the Branch. A mechanical engineer seat would cost 8 Lakhs and subsequent years it is 1.25 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship or loan facility is available. The top performer is awarded though. The loan facility and scholarship is only through government establishment.

Campus Life

The college life is too good if u get involved various activities. There is lot of encouragement for sports and games. We have a decent indoor stadium and a good playground. Gym facility is also available. There are various voluntary student organization like debsoc quiz club,team adrenaline racing,soaring eagle and others to inprove scholastic and non scholastic aspects.

Hostel Facilities

The Boys hostel is not up to the mark. Fee ranges between 55-60 thousand. Twin sharing and single rooms are available. The food served is not tasty but manageable. The only benefit of staying in hostel is u get to be in the college campus. PG is an econom

Alumni/Alumna

The aluminum network is very active. Globally alumni meet happens every year. These alumini are also in the board to help the administration.

Exam Structure

Continuous evaluation system is followed. Which helps to be up to date with the concepts rather than just studying for final exams. You are don't feel it hectic in the final exam. Also it is autonomous so there is grading system which is a added advantage

There are number of PHD holders and facilities who have done their post grad in premier Indian Institutes. Overall the Faculty base is satisfactory.The Associate professor are also pursing PHD so constant interaction is there. Few faculties are very helpf

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Great college with poor placement

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

- Talking about me choosing this college over other colleges is because Siddaganga Institute of Technology comes in the top 10 colleges in the entire Karnataka and also has an NIRF ranking below 100. - I had applied various other colleges in Bangalore, but my ranking from KCET was 10,072 which was too high as per the cutoff put by those colleges so I couldn't get colleges in Bangalore and I landed in here. - I didn't get any rejections from other colleges as I had a good ranking in KCET exam along with an aggregate of 93.3% in my 12th. It was just the cutoff of the colleges that made me land in this college and I don't regret being here as I am happy that I am in one of the best colleges in Karnataka. - The admission procedure is simple. If you are coming through KCET or ComedK, then the seats will be alloted by the respective board and these students just come with the required or mentioned documents and just come and do admission in here. If the student is coming through Management seat then he has a different procedure. - There is no particular eligibilty criteria for admission in here, just one thing matter is the students rank which must be below the cutoff mentioned by the college. - The exam most preferred by the students is KCET, whose cutoff varies as per the branch they want admission for....Read More
