Aditya Kumar's Review On IIT Kharagpur - Indian Institute Of Technology - [IITKGP], Kharagpur

My college is really good and it was really a great opportunity to part of this Institute.

GATE The subject is quite different and today we are surrounded by wave, frequencies every times. My childhood I am found of making different antenna's to have better signal for TV and for radio's FM.

Course is really good with detail knowledge about analysis and design of antenna it really gives main focus on the working of Microwaves and Radio frequencies how the wave travels, what kind of loss comes, distance of transmitting and receiving it gives practical knowledge about the wavelength of frequency about Mhz & Ghz.

Actually college dose't provide any internship. But as a M.Tech student MHRDI will give stipend of Rs5000/- per month. This stipend really helps and it gives a pleasure that at least our government is also concerned that student should go for higher studies.

During my placement time we really have very good opportunities because after that recession has come in 2009. In my college single job offer is there till all student will not placed and in my batch almost every one got the placement with max. pacakge of 20 lakhs peranm and lower with 6 lakhs. Companies are IOCL, ONGC, Accenture, TCS, IBM, Kirloskar and many more

Spring Fest takes place in the IIT KGP campus in Kharagpur, every year in the month of January for cultural activities for 3-4 days in this songs, open theater, poets and celebrities will come and perform. In this event disco in open ground will really enjoyable Kshitij is one of the other important event for technology which will be in the month of Jan last week or Feb first week. In this event all advance technology in robotics and online game shows will be performed. Even for this events students form other colleges would also come to participate.

Fee structure is normal for tuition 9000/ as per semester along with this some 3- 4 thousand for some other activity as you have to compulsory stay in the campus yu have to pay the hostel fees, which will be around 10,00/- per semester including food charges also.

No I haven't taken any scholarship and not heard about it but i heard some banks will provide loan for computer/laptop.

As You Know IIT is the number one college of INDIA. IIT kharagpur is the first and the oldest IIT. The gender ratio is 60:40 and college life is really cool. Labs are fantastic with all the necessary equipment, Sports facility is really good. Competition will happens on the basis of Hostel and students performs fairly in this competition.

The rooms are really very nice with two students every student will be provided with one bed and one study table and one chair. In the room LAN connection is there bathrooms is also big and separate for each rooms. As I am staying in the new Hostel it has all the basic necessity.

Yes, they are really helpful as i am also an Alumni. Seniors really helps opens we need some feedback about works our about companies, even some times for personal life also they will be helpful.

Initially it was really felling that lab and the lectures were really hectic but ones we are used to its we feel like enjoying. Exams are just normal as its seems part of the courses exams and labs are simply chilled out since after that we are getting 1 month or 2 month holiday which we will spend with our families exams will be 2 papers on one day without break and some times we get break also in between 2 papers, but overall within 1 week all exams will be over.

Professors in this institute are very good with deep knowledge about there subject. Almost every professor has done M.Phil and students are doing Ph.D under them, and its really a great thing to do Ph.D under them. The good thing with the professor is that they teach you the courses with practical knowledge and even though you not understand they will explain the thing in much simpler forms.
