Internships (On Campus)

DTU provides the best campus life as compared to any other engineering college in Delhi-NCR. It provides ample opportunity to its students to explore their interests not only in engineering but also in several other fields. The teaching faculty of DTU isn't very impressive all the time, self study is what students rely on. I got enrolled in DTU through the JAC Counselling Process after clearing JEE Mains, which was between the months of June-July of 2018. DTU provides the best atmosphere for its students to learn new things and work on several areas to escape from rote learning and do practical work.

I chose this course based on my JEE Mains rank. For every 50 students, there is 1 professor, but the relation between students and faculty is good as the faculty is very approachable. All Professors are PhD holders and provide expert guidance and teaching in their subjects. But classroom teaching is not of high standards, not much attention is paid to classroom learning. The difficulty of term exams very from subject to subject and from semester to semester. It purely depends on the subject. As far as the time gap between exams is considered, it is a fairly good time duration for preparation.

Sprinklr, Amazon, Uber, Condensation, Saint Gobain, Samsung, Reliance, Logistics and SCM companies, several startups etc. the stipend varies from 10k per month to 2 Lacs per month depending on the company for On Campus Interns. Roles of interns include Trainee, product engineer, etc.

After the 6th semester, you become eligible for campus placements. Amazon, Uber, Microsoft, L&T, Ashok Leyland, Bajaj, Saint Gobain, Mckinsey, Goldman Sachs, San Disk, Condensation, Oracle, Career Launcher, Deloitte, BNY Mellon, American Express, Samsung, Various Startups, etc. The highest- 1.3 Cr (annually)- coding profile jobs, Average- 9-10 Lacs PA., Civil Engg (Average) - 5-6 Lacs PA. 65-70% students get placed (overall college).

Academic fees standards are high keeping in my mind that DTU is Govt. University. But the hostel and mess charges are reasonable. I'm currently in my 3rd year only so job placements haven't started yet.

Annual Cultural Fest is Engifest largest fest all over North India held in February every year along with the film and literature fest in Yuvaan which is held in January and the tech fests include several fests of different departments held in November every year. All categories of book & journals you can think of is available in DTU Library which is truly the best atmosphere to study. Classrooms are provided with all basic amenities with White Board and markers along with Air conditioning services. Annually sports fest and several competitions b/w universities and inter-department take place at regular intervals. Good facilities are provided for all major sports and also the courts have floodlights to even play at night. More than 100 clubs, societies and tech teams are there in DTU, which is a major highlight.
