Remarks
Overall, the college was good. They didn't put unrealistic expectations on their students.
Entrance Preview
I didn't really take any entrance exam. I just got out of high school and applied to the college. Looking at my grades, they accepted me.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure was good. There were lots of practicals, which were helpful during all 3 years as we had a summary of the entire chapter by conducting the practicals. The course was not too easy and not too difficult. And it was quite easy to score well if you set your mind to it.
Internships Opportunities
The college requires the students to take part in internships for a few courses. And where you want to intern was a personal selection. For me, I interned at an online news site which was focused on the ongoing of the university's around the city. There was no stipend involved.
Placement Experience
Personally, I got a job at Samsung, but their recruitment had nothing to do with the college I study at. But still, I guess it had some impact. Otherwise, the college always had job fair in which various companies came and introduced themselves to the students. I never attended any of those as I was hoping to pursue my masters as well before applying for a job.
College Events
There were alot of major events in the college. And the participation level was high! We had 2 major cultural events and there were management events a few times in the course of the year. Other than that I guess there were a few events where special guests were invited and they were a huge deal. We've had a few movie stars visit and perform for the students as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is adequate. It's not too much or not too little. They require one deposit for the entire year and then we only had to pay for our finals which was also just around 2000INR. The fees for the year was around 18000-20000INR which I'm sure is way better than other colleges that take too much for no reason at all. And everything else was covered within the fee structure.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college did provide scholarships for those students who were not from well off families and had difficulty in paying the tuition fees. They required the students to get a certain percentage in order for the scholarships to be continued.
Campus Life
Campus life was amazing. Our schedules were not too hectic. We had plenty of time to spend with friends and family. There was no overburden of work. The labs were clean and very useful. There was a lot of sports in college. Many students were part of different sports. We had NCC, where those interested could take part. Dancing and singing was a major extracurricular activity, many students took part in it and represented the college in various events. There were literature and debate teams. Art and drama was also encouraged.
Hostel Facilities
I was living by my own means and didnt avail any of the hostel facilities. So I am not upto mark to answer this question. But we did have a hostel and there were many PGs around the college campus. I think the hostel was good enough for those who lived there, the food was provided daily and the wardens took care of every student. that's all I know about the hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni always had a positive outlook towards the college. Any help that was required, they would help the new students. They would give a lot of feedback about the college.
Exam Structure
It was very chilled out. The exam structure was not too overwhelming. The best part was that we had gaps in the middle of each exam which gave us ample time to prepare and revise. Overall, I think the exam structure was the best I was personally never too stressed out when exams came because there was always time to prepare for it and also, we had two yearly examinations that divided the course. So if you prepared for the first exams, you only had to stress about the other half of the syllabus while just revising the first half using your half yearly's.
Faculty
The faculty was the best part of the college. The psychology teachers were amazing and they were very interactive with the students. They always looked out for students who were lagging behind. The teachers would always conduct review sessions 2-3 times when the examination period would be near. They would even help the students who have problems in their submissions by sitting and personally helping them out.
