Remarks

Overall experience is fantastic. The college and college life is great. It's a learning experience with various aspects learnt which are helpful.

Entrance Preview

I took NPAT which is exam exclusive for my college. The exam is pretty simple but challenging with maths and English and IQ questions which is to be done in 2 hours . The results are declared after a month and ranks are assigned According to who scored more and students are called rank wise for admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is good. The first year is off beat so is in every engineering college but from second year all core subjects start and interested students are given assistance in research by the faculty. They will help you in all possible ways in your desired research field.

Internships Opportunities

I don't know much about the internship but I have heard from my seniors that there is certain internship available from 3rd year otherwise we can go find ourselves internship in vacations.

Placement Experience

4.5

It is regarded as one of the best colleges in terms of placement and job opportunities. L&T , Accenture, Morgan Stanley and other big companies come for campus recruitment. 90% of students get jobs from campus. The rest are the students who for MS and further studies.

College Events

5

Satva is the main fest of our college which takes place in January for 3 days . It's a fun and happening fest with all kinds of competition and pro nights to enjoy. Other than satva there are various committees in our college which conduct their own mini fest a regularly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is a bit exhorbitant. 2.5 lakhs a year for b.tech is the fee which keep on changing every year. But it is justified with the facilities provided by the college. There is a lab for each and every subject and also entire campus is centrally air conditioned.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea about any scholarship or loan facility offered by the college that is available for the students.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is very happening. Loads of activities keep on happening at regular intervals. There is a good mix of the people wrt to sex and regions. People from all parts of countries are present and it's a good mix of crowd. There are various sports activities happening around the year. There is college cricket and football team as well and inter stream sports competition also takes place. College takes part.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I don't know much about the hostel as I don't reside in a hostel. But as far as food is concerned it has got the best canteen with variety of cuisines to choose from. The rates are also very nominal and the food is also very good and hygienic. You can fill your stomach well in 100 rs with proper subzi and roti or naan or kulcha. Also you have a variety of desserts to choose from.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors guide you and they are helpful. THERE IS NO KIND OF RAGGING DONE TO THE JUNIORS. I got no idea on alumni network.

Exam Structure

Exam schedule is chilled out. You got two term tests with sufficient time to study for both. If you score less in any one the tests you have one more chance to improve your marks. Then there is the semester exams at the end of the semester. There is a holiday between 2 papers so u can prepare well.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of my college is pretty good. Unlike other colleges all the lectures take place in a given day and the faculty too is pretty good and experienced with faculty having done MS and PhD teaching right from first year. Their explanation is good and methods of teaching are interesting.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
