Remarks

Good: very serious on studies and classes. Every semester a scoring on lecturers are done by students through an automated software, which is completely anonymous and reviewed by HOD's and Principal.Bad : College doesn't want to spend much on cultural fests, which from a students point of view I can say that it happens once a year where students and staffs enjoy. Could be very. They are very non cooperative in terms of cultural fests.

Entrance Preview

I've taken COMEDK entrance exam i got a rank around 5500 which is pretty decent. You cannot get into this college through AIEE but there is a management quota which is pretty expensive. You can approach directly to college for MQ.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I've taken up CSE which is best in the college. It stands under 7th rank among all of the colleges in B'lore. The course is basically built according to university. It's now ugraded and they have added more languages such as python. Earlier which they didn't have. We all know that course in India is pretty outdated but still it's better. Focus on a research, no not a good idea.

Internships Opportunities

Yes there are a few offers for internship. Very few. CSE department does allow for internship based on how good you've your image in front of hod and lecturers. Doubtful on other departments.

Placement Experience

4

I would give an actual figure. For CSE department, it's almost 95% if you're eligible. Referring to eligible its 60% aggregate. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, Accenture are mass recruiters. Average package is 3.2lpa. While there are bunch of companies which offer higher packages upto 12lpa. In short there are a lot of companies coming in to recruit such as Bosch, delta x, IBM, CGI, CSS CORP, ACT, tech Mahindra, subex, HP etc.

College Events

4

Every year there's a cultural fest called PARICHAY for freshers. Every alternate year PANTHEON is held which is combination of parichay. It is quite a huge fest which goes on for two days. PANTHEON'16 gathered a crowd of almost 2000 people. Participation is from a lot of colleges from B'lore. Technical fest are conducted by different branches in engineering which is either intra or inter.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For COMEDK students it is 160000 per annum on an approx, which is quite expensive. For CET students it is 40000 per annum which is cheaper. And for management it depends on department to department ranging from 250000 lpa to 350000 lpa. Hostel charges are around 40000 per annum excluding Mess charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

No there are no scholarships for students offered by the college. Although they can get scholarship from their states. Loans are quite difficult to get from the college bank as they don't prefer. But college will provide all necessary documents to avail a loan from bank.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio on an approx 60:40. There are a quite a few workshops held every semester for students which is jointly organised by student and college, mostly students. There is a cultural activity team known as CAT, which takes care for all the fests. You need to give an interview to get into the team. There is 100% tolerance in regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation etc. Completely free from intolerance. Very friendly people and staffs. Being a non south Indian I can assure that. I've seen the goodness of people in the college. Extracurricular activities are not so frequent but they are mostly held during fests. Sports like cricket, badminton, basketball have their exclusive grounds. And they can be practiced after college hours. There are no competitions such as robotics or debates. There used to be a robotics team which doesn't exists now.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel rooms are on sharing basis 2 or 3 or 4 on a max. 1st year hostel is on a different building to prevent ragging by any chance, although it's ragging free campus. Hostel seats never run out in case of new comers but for further years they run out. Students prefer to stay out because the food is pathetic. Food is very expensive and pathetic. Staying out is a better option. Students can share an apartment, cooks are available at a reasonable price who cook for 2 times a day. Rent for apartments are 11000 on an approx for 2bhk. Could be shared by 4 people.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes obviously the senior and alumni are very helpful on a note that you maintain a good contact with them. They will help you in your studies and even to get internships.

Exam Structure

Internally, there are 3 internal exam in which you can opt for any two. You can attempt all three after which best two will be considered. A semester actually is of 4 months in which 3 internals which is not so frequent. Every internal gets over in 3 days. There will be 2 lab internals for all labs. It'll be chilled out.

Faculty

3.5

Talking about my department as I can't speak about others with whom I've not interacted. Yes they are very helpful regarding everything. For teaching I would rate 7 out of 10 on an average. There are a few teachers whom I would give 10 out of 10 in teaching. All the lecturers are M.Tech and most of them are pursuing PhD or have already done.

The institute records an impressive average package of ~INR 7.20 LPA and the highest packages reaching up to INR 53.50 LPA. The college actively drives employability through a dedicated 'Talent Transformation Hub'. Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business. Higher Education: Students frequently leverage the college's alumni network and faculty mentorship to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, or to apply for Master's programs (MS, M.Tech) in India or abroad. Off-Campus Drives & Internships: Students are encouraged to undertake industry internships and live projects to build their portfolios, making it easier to land off-campus roles at top tech companies.
