A very nice college.

College needs to be aggressive on placements since that is the ultimate thing everyone wants. It has the potential to be a really good college.

Admission was based on IP university common entrance exam for MCA. Since the top rankers get into usit, the competition is fierce. Admission is based on counselling.

Very good and relevant it has all basic topics like java, software Eng, ADA, networking, testing etc. Also you can learn some good electives like artificial intelligence, neural networks and project management. Labs are there for every relevant subject and faculty provides notes too.

Most decent companies came and some also offered stipend, but competition was tough. There are only few companies coming for internship. Most of the time students have to try themselves.

Placements are good but need to improve. In my batch around 40 out of 60 got placed. Since it is not a private college, the placement cell needs to be aggressive. TCS, NAGARRO, SAFENET, GLOBALLOGIC, REVAL, TECH MAHINDRA, MINDFIRE SOLUTIONS, came at our time. Keep in mind even with all companies coming it depends on your hardwork.

There are many events in technical as well as cultural section. Since it is the main campus there is no shortage of events across the year. Info expression is the annual technical fest of usit. Then there is anugoonj which is ipu university level cultural fest, there are also workshops.

At my time the usit was having a decent fee structure. It is the least among all colleges of ip university. No idea what is the fee now but it will still be lesser than the private colleges. Also there is not a lot of extra expenses besides fee since it is a govt college - the central campus.

I needed a loan or scholarship at my time but i never came across one, maybe they started it recently but frankly no idea. Since it is a govt college under delhi govt you may apply for some scholarship maybe. Not sure.

This is the best part. The diversity is just awesome. Gender ratio is good, very nice atmosphere, since it is a central campus you get to mix with students of all streams, like mgmt, law, all Eng streams etc. You see people of different states and countries studying together which gives a good feeling. There is no politics kinda thing since it is the central campus and only the top rankers of all streams make it. This doesn't mean that they dont enjoy. There are fest throughout the year.

Have not stayed in hostel but been to the room of a classmate. The hostel looks good enough, and at the new dwarka campus it should be only better. No idea about PGs and their rates. Can try some accommodation near dwarka campus. There should be some good pgs nearby.

Alumni network is not great, but seniors in general are helpful. Ragging etc is not there (at least when i was there it was very chilled out).

A bit difficult as it was the main campus but ultimately it is for good of us only. Practicals and labs were adequate. Exams are a bit tough to score, but it will help students in long term. Faculty encourages students to learn new technologies.

Very helpful, it is a blend of young and old. Some very experienced people teach core subjects like java and software engineering. They encourage to study new technologies and tools. In various term papers you can work on areas of your choice. Most lecturers are very approachable too. I love my college's faculty.
