Pict review : whether we should take admission in Pict or not

Good aspects: 1) Pict has got excellent placement. 2) Faculty is awesome. 3) Teachers helps you out with every problem. They will force you to learn various courses which will help you in future. 4) N numbers of clubs are there where you can enjoy and get your skills brushed. 5) The seniors are just awesome. They are there just like your family members, they will guide you at every moment you need them. Bad aspects: 1) Pict is very strict when it comes to academics. 2) Pict do not follow many internships means they do not provide many holidays for internships(1month regularly). Admission process: Pict admissions are done based on two entrance exams: MHTCET and JEE MAINS. The cutoffs are really high almost 99 percentile for IT and CS branch (for general) and for entc it is above 95 percentile. While selecting this college I referred to some pict alumina, quota website and youtube.

I chose Pict because the placements are awesome. More than 120 companies visit the campus for placements. The teachers have very good knowledge of their subjects. They are also very frank. They will help you in every situation. The exams are one of the very serious things for the teachers. There is 4 test in one semester. One unit test(for giving internal marks), insem exam(conducted by the university which is of 30 marks), preliminary exams(for practice) and lastly endsem(conducted by the university which is of 70 marks). The exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level of college level exams are very little hard and the university exams are very simple. You can top even after studying for 1 week before the exams.

From the 4th-year 1st semester, students are eligible for sitting in campus placements. In Pict 120+ companies visit and almost every student get the job at the end. Just you need to have enough coding skills which the college will itself take care of( you will also have to put efforts to become good in coding) and your communication skills should be nice. The seniors and teachers will guide you throughout. Last year 85% of student got placed with a pretty nice package. My plans after getting the degree are to continue with the job and after 5 years MBA.

The total fees of Pict are 1 lakh 1 thousand rupees per annum. If you got admission through cap round then u will get scholarship in which half of your tuition fees will get refunded, in short you will have to pay only Rs 50,000 per annum. If you scored really well then you can also get a TFWS scholarship in which your whole tuition fees will be refunded, in short, you will have to pay only Rs10, 000 per annum.

There is n number of clubs which you can join to enjoy your college life. There are some international clubs like Csi, Ieee, Acm. There are other clubs like Pict EDC, robotics, pictorial, Pict art circle and many more. Sports like badminton and basketball you can play in the college ground. Talking about the annual fest there are many fests like Addiction, xenia, pulzion and many more. These are the most awesome days where you can enjoy very very much.
