Entrance Preview

Through OJEE, I was about physics so I opted for Electrical Branch, According to my rank I would have also got other branches.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is nicely structured, it takes from basics to application part. In First Yr the emphasis was on basic fundamentals of engineering, From Second year onwards we were more focused on our branch paper. In third Year we were thought about the different Electrical Equipments and different ways of their connection.

College Events

Basically we had a yearly Fest which has two events one is Cultural fest and other one is Tech fest. The Event used to be of four days, two days for tech fest and two days for cultural fest. On departmental level we also observe Teachers day,Freshers party, Farewell party and many Indian Festivals too. In cultural fest various events like dancing, singing, drama, DJ night, Live concert etc happen.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship was offered to orrisa by their government was parent income was low and for ST, SC and OBC also received scholarship by the respective govt.

Campus Life

Campus life was awesome, away from city commosion. Gender ratio was bit unbalanced for ever six boys the number of girls were four. Most of the students were from Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand but some were also from Kolkata and Chattishgarh.

Exam Structure

IT was chilled out. Total we had eight semesters and in every semesters there used to be two internal exams, But When We were in 1st and 2nd year we had given three internals per semester after this got revised to two internals.

IIIT Bhubaneswar means technology!

Placement Experience:

Amazon, Google, Wipro, HCL Tech and many such which has been around for a while in the tech business and has built tech for many overseas companies too are the ones which have already started coming. I am in my final year and around 40% students have already been recruited and I hope before this semester ends, i too get placements.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

OEC- college worth every penny

The admission process was quite simple. Just needed to appear the counselling session of ojee. One can choose ojee marks or jee mains marks for appearing in counselling. Everything was done online. The eligibility of the mentioned course was passed 12th with physics, chemistry and math with an aggregate of 45% and overall percentage more than 60%. The application form of ojee and jee mains can be found in their respective websites. Application fees of both the exams are different. Then after the results, one have to apply for the counselling process in which you have to select different colleges and different courses of your choice in your preferred serial number. And then the choices have to be locked by visiting the ojee counselling nodal center. And once any college and course have been alloted one has to visit the respective college sites for document verification and payment of fees. All the other documents like anti ragging affidavit, course gap affidavit etc are required ....Read More

Condition of my college today

Placements are good untill last year this year it's impossible to tell whether the college will continue or not because the director Suprita Pattnaik takes the fees from the students from time to time but don't care about them after that even in the worst conditions like the just passed cyclone fani which almost destroyed the college she came the other day only to see what damage occured in the building and she didn't cared if the students are alive or dead...Read More
