Banaras Hindu University is a reputed central university. The campus of BHU is the huge and best place to spent your 5 year law course. Pros- Freedom of thought as you are not burdened with so much workload college life is chill. Semester exams are too easy to fail. Professors are experienced and qualified they can give you the best content Hostel life is different for boys and girls. Boys have full freedom to explore. Hardly any rules are imposed. You will learn a lot more in the hostel about people and life. Cons- There is hardly any focus on extracurricular activities students have to take all the initiative. Professors are of a traditional mindset. BLAT entrance is conducted generally in May and most probably the new semester begins in July- august. Believe it or not, you will curse the place in the beginning but cry and miss this place forever. There is something about this place. You will have ample time for the experiment but you have to take the initiative to search for things. BHU IS LOVE ??

The curriculum is good for ease loving people. It is a semester based course. Both male and female students are in a good ratio. The majority of the chunk is from North India. Faculty members are of diverse level. Some are best among all and then there are some whom even student can teach. But for every subject, there is an expert so if you really want to study you will get everything. The teaching method is comprehensive to everyone. Teaching is in both the language and professor use lucid language. The library is decent. Exams are a cakewalk. Study a day before exams and you will clear the majority of the subject. There are 10 semesters. If you fail or not able to attend an exam you can give a back paper next year. Then there is some subject where only a handful of students get passed. So don't panic everything is easy here and if you have common sense you won't fail.

The placement cell is not very active. This year only 2 students got placed in TATA AIG. In last year students are eligible for campus placement. In future, this no may rise. Last year 6-7 of my senior batch students got placed. Packages offered are avg. It is around 5-6 lac per annum. Students have to work hard to get better placement. The majority of people go for judiciary and litigation. After getting my degree I gonna appear for civil services. Many students do go for civil services here.

Fees are nominal. Students have to submit a demand draft of Rs 60000 each year. This 60k is the same for all students. Then come semester fees of each semester for hostelers which are around Rs 1700 and hostel caution money of 4000 is taken which is refunded at the end of the year. For non hostlers, it is around Rs 350. Scholarship varies from state to state like the UP govt provide a scholarship each year which is around 40-62k. There are different scholarship programs for different students. No job opportunity on campus. The best thing is students get too much time to deposit the fees. The place is worth the price.

The campus is good. It depends on an individual how he explores the place. Bhu is something different. My personal experience is quite good. Agricultural field Vishwanath temple swimming pool gym various big sports field everything is here. CCD IS also inside the campus. Madhuban cafe is here. This place is all about exploration. The more you explore the more you will love it. We, students, have our own groups on whats app. No clubs if you love clubbing then you will be disappointed. In extracurricular activities, spandan and srijan function take place every year.

The hostel is given on entrance merit based. Every student is not eligible for a hostel facility. There are minimal hostel fees charges. But if you don't get a Hostel facility mate you lost something very important. Chanakya Hostel is one of the best hostel real life Chanakya are made here. Mess quality depends on the mess Maharaj because the mess in bhu is private. For normal diet it is 40 rs per diet nd for non veg it is 80rs. For rented room student prefer chitturpur or Lanka gate. There are many rooms available at cost of Rs 2500 per month.
