Remarks

Best in providing an environment for studies and gives a good college life provides good exposure to social life. Provides enough opportunity for students in terms of clubs, student projects etc. World-class infrastructure with the best sports facility. Fees are at a higher point. Admission via MET entrance test. and is held in April. There is a good amount of job opportunities from this college. Apart from academics as well it has a very good opportunity I took the suggestion from my elder brother studying there and watched few youtube videos.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Civil is one of my fav branches to be selected., We can actually live this subject in real life. As we see it in everyday life. Manipal is very good for this branch. There is a good faculty to students ratio. All doubts are solved by teachers. All faculty are highly educated. Almost all the teachers hold a doctoral degree. Senior teachers with experience of 10_20 years and young new teachers are highly educated. teachers usually use slides to teach students. Some use board to explain as well. Term exams in 3 months, easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are a lot of intern opportunities. In every branch. Companies such as Bosch, Oyo, amazon, LnT, jp morgan, dell etc came for giving internship offer. Internship offers can go up to 1 lakhs. Also, a lot of student projects and research options are available. There are multiple faculties assigned for this duty. Students with good grades get internships easily.

Placement Experience

3

There is a decent no. Of campus placement, it's only up to us how we are performing in exams. Although there is a shortage of jobs and placement .but still it's much decent than other private colleges. After 6th semester student is eligible for placements. The highest salary was 41 LPA and the lowest was 3.3 LPA with an average of 7.5LPA. almost 1000 offers were made. Companies such as Microsoft, Dell, hp, jp morgan, Oyo, Maruti etc came for campus placements. Almost 60 percent of students were placed. My plans are to go for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the fee is a bit out of the economical order of a middle-class person. It should be a bit lesser from now. Fess is increased 10%every year. Scholarship up to 100% off in tuition fees are present. Freeship scholarship, achievers scholarship, Merit scholarship for Konkani speaking children, scholarship for board toppers, scholarship for children of alumni. There are no jobs for students inside the campus for branches except computer and electrical branches.

Campus Life

4

Life is good at the campus, keeping pandemic aside we are free to do what we want. and there is great exposure to the outside world as everything from sports to gym, from garden to lakes are the nearby campus, Best in class sports facility with indoor and outdoor sports facility. The classroom has a centralized ac with a projector and board. Almost all books are there in the library and a wide collection of journals. There are a lot of clubs, almost for everything. dance clubs, music, dramatics, ngo etc you name it and it is there. Student projects are there which provided hands on experience. Such as Team Manipal Racing, Formula Manipal, Mars rover etc. There are fests which are really decent. Revels and techthatva are fest and are held in March and October respectively.

Hostel Facilities

4

Cleaning is done timely, there is a complimentary fitness section inside the hostel, both hot and cold water is available. Ac rooms are also available. Hostel fees vary for every block and choice of room. The room has a bed, table, chair and an almirah. The meal is of decent quality, menu changes every week. And the special meal is there once a month. Hostels are affordable and just login to the hostel website for registration.

Interview Experience

4

Yes, there was an entrance test MET. Which was in written format. It's absolutely easy but lengthy. All the syllabus for MET. Includes only NCERT books. We only need to focus on Speed while giving the test. No group discussion or interview.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
