Took CLAT and obtained 122.75 out of 200. Took this college because it's in my home state and I am a homesick person.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is rigid, very. We take 42 tests in a semester, technically. There's a rigid system of Continuous Assessment Tests, Mid-Term exams and End-Terms. So you are busy with academics throughout your semester and can't do away with it. In a way, you're forced to be witty. Although we all know that merely taking tests don't make you Jethmalani Sir's younger cousin.
Internships Opportunities
No, it does not. If you're talking about internships that children earn, they usually do it on their own efforts or with the help of the very efficient Internship and Placement Committee. The internships vary from office to office and so do the experiences, obviously.
Placement Experience
Since we are a budding law school, the placement and job opportunities are not as good as the best of the league such as NLS and NALSAR. But they are not bad either. Our first batch had candidates who got placed with packages of as high as 14 LPA. So that does speak for itself because there are NLUs like CNLU who struggled hard to have students placed for many batches.
College Events
We have held a National Trial Competition. This year we also held a Moot on Tax Law. Apart from that, we have Diwali fests and Holi fests which we celebrate with pomp and show. Recently we had a function that made wide in the papers - a blend of Jharkhandi and Rajasthani culture, music and lifestyle. Most of them achieve full participation from all the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite expensive here. For a year, it's about 2,10,000 rupees. That definitely makes us one of the most expensive NLUs in the country.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, we haven't made large steps in that direction. However, students get education loans on their own efforts.
Campus Life
Campus life is chill. However, we definitely have a lack of buildings. We have a strict attendance policy of minimum 70% attendance, failure to attain which costs you fine amounts, which start from 5000 for each 5% below 70%. Children are de-barred if their attendance falls below 50%. We have food-fest once every month, where you get to have your hands on everything one can dream of in a residential campus.
Exam Structure
The exam structure like I explained earlier is rigid. There are 5 Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs), each worth 10 marks. Out of these 5, the 3 best are taken into count. In case of law subjects, the 30 marks of CATs are converted into 15 and 15 marks for Court-Room exercises which is mandatory for all, for all law subjects.
Faculty
The faculty of our university is satisfactory, if not overwhelmingly good. To be frank, we don't have many professors, except one or two. Most of them are assistant or associate professors.
