Remarks

Pro's Attendance: There's no problem with attendance. There are many students who are preparing for Competitive Exam's, Its just like heaven for those who want to get success in life Clubs; There are Clubs like Dance Club, Drama Club etc. where you can participate and can show your Extracurricular talent. Cons: Hostel: CIEM don't provide Hostel facilities, You have to search for your own rental home or PG for yourself Library: Library books are very much outdated

Course Curriculum Overview

One of the most important reasons for choosing this course is because I am very much passionate about CSE from my childhood, I always wanted to contribute something to my Dev Community, That's why I choose CSE as a full-time career option Am also exploring other fields like competitive coding and open source contribution. The student-faculty ratio is around 1:6. Most of the teachers have completed their master degree and some of them are also PhD qualified.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college Internship opportunities as off campus, As much I know one of our senior had done 11 internships in his college, the ad has contributed to the open source community As a Tier 3 student, you must focus on your Project's rather than Competitive coding. If your project had already accomplished a milestone then you can go for Competitive coding

Placement Experience

The only hope among the student is Pool Campusing. But CS and IT students get placed in IT companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and average package is around 4 lakhs and highest is 10 lakhs, The students of Other branches may get stuck in placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

As being a semi-Government college, the fees are very much low as compared to other colleges. So it's a better college as compared to others in terms of fess and also you can apply for TFW(Tuition Fee Waiver )

Campus Life

Campus if fairly as compared other colleges under WBJEE, Its comprised of 3 Buildings with 5 floor and a college ground also. Yes, our college also has a fest. Among them, Celcius is one of the most popular fests among students.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

The main reason behind choosing the college over other colleges is it's electrical department's history. The electrical department has received many awards, certificates for the projects development.
