CIEM, A college that not only aim for academic excellence but also ensures personal development and an exciting college life

I found this college via Google Search, later I got to know even more as I started exploring the website of my college(CIEM) . The college was extremely close to my house and as I visited the college I realized that it is well connected not only by the roads but also by the metro, these were the initial pros that attracted me towards this college preferring it over the others. The admission was based on the JEE rank. After the session started we were laid in the hands of very helpful and supportive faculty, that's another and very important pro of CIEM. Here the students are nurtured with extreme care. Besides, the college has beautiful grounds, lush greenery,well-organized and entertaining events, and competitions. In the CSE departments, the labs are extremely well organized and up-to-date. The only con that I found was that though the college library is extremely huge it mostly consists of course books, other than that the college is extremely good.

I choose B. Tech, CSE. I have always been attracted towards technologies especially towards programming thus had long determined that this was the course I wanted to opt for. In CIEM we have highly qualified faculties taking good care and making sure that we learn every possible aspect as clearly as possible. Enough time is taken to teach a particular topic making sure that we can easily understand it . We always have regular assignments and practice work along with class test that keep us prepared for the semester exams which in turn is very competitive and exciting.

There are various internship opportunities provided by the college. Most of them being the Campus Representative Programs by various organizations like MYWBUT , CodingNinja , Internshala, etc. They are also supportive regarding off-camp internships personally taken up by any student.

CIEM students do very well in pool campusing. Most of the students get placed every year. Companies like HP, TCS, Infosys, IBM, Cognizant are among the recruiters. Students are often placed with an average salary of 4LPA to even a package of 6LPA.

The fees for B.Tech are extremely low in CIEM as compared to another private institute, i.e. 357000/- only for the total course (atm). There are special fee reductions too for the students in need and can also apply for TFW(Tuition Fee Waiver).

CIEM has a big campus for a private engineering college in the middle of a city. It has two blocks of a five-floor building, two canteens, a huge library, and big ground, and a well-decorated college campus. Our special events include Torneo i.e our inter-department soccer tournament and our annual fest The CELSIUS. Celsius is awaited by every student of CIEM and includes cultural fest , sports fest , tech fest, etc. It is famous among engineers all over Kolkata. We have various clubs too. Innovation club, Photography Club, Dance club etc. The college life is extremely good and exciting CIEM. Seniors and juniors get along so well in our college and the faculties are extremely helpful and supportive. They teach they guide , they scold and they care a lot.
