Remarks

Delhi Singh College (evening) which is located in LODHI ROAD is actually a full-fledged day college, which means evening is just in its name but it is actually a morning college it classes starts from 9 AM today till 3-4 PM depending on the course & year. Unlike other evening colleges, it has a separate building where only evening shifts classes happen, that's really a good thing we don't need to share anything with the morning college. However, we have the same canteen but that's not an issue & evening's students can go anywhere & morning students can visit any building at any time. It helps students to create a bonding with each other. Being from DU our college is very cheap for studies like I just pay approximately 13,000 including exam fees, which is really affordable if you are studying in the city like DELHI and that too a Delhi University's college. However, it has just one con that it doesn't have a hostel we have to take pvt. hostel in south ex.& Lajpat which is 2-3km away from the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course from this college because the first thing it is affiliated to DU, the second thing it is a good college where I got all things whatever I wanted in my college life like exposures, a lot of societies for exploring & enhancing skills, a lot of students to interact because of two colleges running at the same time in the same campus it seems it is just section which is different but college is same and 3rd thing it's very cheap and affordable. It is providing all the basic things like all the labs, sports room, 2 big grounds, 1basketball court, open amphitheater, seminar hall, AC library, indoor auditorium, flower garden & good parking place, etc. Teachers are amazing & very helpful, the way they interact and the way they treat it is really amazing, i mean I came from a school where teachers never gave value to students, but here they motivate me & they actually hear me. Exams pattern is good and same in all over the university like viva, practical, presentations & assignments, etc.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

In the 2nd week of February there is an Internship drive happens in our college where a lot of companies around 20-30companies visit our college and students can choose where they want to apply and can go for PI in that company's stall. Companies like Times of India, KVCH, and start-ups like a pocket full of words visit college campus but yes most of them don't give stipend or if they give then they offer performance-based stipends.

Placement Experience

3.5

In the 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placement but students can go for internship in their 1st semester, there are a lot of companies come for internship. There are a lot of companies visit for internship and placement like KVCH, Times of India, etc. And generally offers packages around 2-3lacs per annum. Around 50-60% of students get placement in college but that depends up om the students because some of the students go for outside placements.. yes! They can take outside placements and Internships too. And some of them don't want to take jobs and want to go for further studies. My plans are also to not taking a job because I want to go for a competitive examination after my graduation completed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Actually, it comes from one of very few colleges of Delhi University whose fees hike is still very low. Like I'm in my final year and I didn't see more hike 200-300 in a year and 200-300 extra is very low like if you're paying only 13k for a whole year. Other colleges increasing almost 4-5k for a year and I'm talking about government colleges. Private ones are not dealing in less than 20-25k fees hike and too not for a year but for a semester. Talking about jobs then jobs are coming of approx around 2-3lakh per annum and even it has its own internship fare in which people can choose any company from 30-40companies and can give an interview by applying on their desk. But yes stipend/paid Internship is low and most of the internships here came is unpaid.

Campus Life

4

It has alot of fests. Like Rajnigandha fest by ARTS AND CULTURAL society which is a college fest that happens in the month of February & Comfiesta by Comhub society that is a commerce department society, etc. The classroom has everything that a normal student needs except AC. Those who are good at cricket can join the cricket team of DSEC, so that football, basketball, and volleyball, etc. dscmates is the Instagram profile run by a student of DSEC you can visit there and see DSCE very closely in terms of memes.

Other Applied Colleges

Indraprastha University | BBA/BCOM(hons.)

DELHI UNIVERSITY has it's own class and Indraprastha University is always an alternate option & it has to do lot of work to even stand in front of DU

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
