Remarks
The location of the college is serene, located in the foothills of the Himalayas. It is popularly known as 'the Himalayan IIM'. The admissions here were carried out by way of the CAP round, which follows the declaration of CAT results.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because of my proclivity towards finance. The faculty: student ratio is around 1:15. The faculty are highly skilled and humble and are proactive in reaching out to the student community. There are a number of faculty that are visiting and are associated with the best-known management schools in the country.
Internships Opportunities
The college offers internships on campus. Whereas the students are free to choose their internships at their convenience, whether on-campus or off-campus. There are also plenty of opportunities to be a part of a live project.
Placement Experience
From what I have heard the placement season sees offers from the best of companies and the entire batch is placed hands down. Since the college is still in its booming years, the companies visiting the campus have only been increasing and improving over the years.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is paid at the beginning of every term. It is somewhat evenly divided into 6 terms. There are a number of scholarships offered by the college based on merit and quota. The cost of the course on the outset appears to be reasonable.
Campus Life
The annual fest goes by the name 'Sierra'. It saw participation by students from colleges across India. There was a spate of cultural and sports events organized. It was held in the month of February. Despite the lockdown in force, there were live online-performances by 2 different artists.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are equipped with all the necessary amenities required for a student to have a decent stay for two years. The fact that the Yamuna flows right next to the college hostel, makes the stay a memorable one.
Interview Experience
The interview for the admission process formed part of the CAP round. It was an easy sail, instead of a 'drilling' one. The questions ranged from being domain-specific to general ones. It also comprised of a WAT round, which is a corollary to the CAP round.
