JEE MAINS for which I scored 173 marks. I opted for civil because this was the best option for me in the available choices .

The course curriculum is not up to date. None of the new technologies are taught here. And some of the subjects have been cut down due to less availability of time. The curriculum is not going to help us much in the future when we are going to get into any civil companies

Our college does provide internship. They encourage us to apply for internships in better colleges with better Equipment like the IITs or major companies. Companies like Larsen and Turbo, Lulu constructions, etc gave internships.

Less than 30% people get placed. Even though civil has a very high job opportunity in our country yet the placement and job opportunities are very low. Only one core company, which is Larsen and Turbo comes for placement and only about 7 to 8 people get placed in that.

The major events are Tathva- the techno management fest which is conducted by third years and Ragam- our cultural fest which is conducted by 4th years. Almost all the famous colleges from in and around our state comes to participate in the various events conducted. The major events for tathva are samasya-which is conducted for students studying in schools, wheels-which exhibits modified cars and bikes and stunts, etc.

The academic fees for one year is Rs. 81000 excluding hostel and mess fees which is a huge amount considering the facilities given in our college. Hostel and mess bills per month is about Rs.4000. Value for the money spent is not provided. Comparing with the facilities given by many other NITs, not much is provided here.

No scholarships or loan facilities are offered by our college. I am not sure though. There might be one are or two good scholarships available.

Boy-girl ratio is 7:3. Campus life is awesome. Good coaches are present for all the sports like football, basketball, hockey, cricket, badminton, table-tennis, etc. We do participate in many events and have won prices. Even good coaches for athletics are present here. Labs are also present for all the branches which give a good thorough base for the core subjects we study.

Alumni's do invest for the improvement of the students. A meeting is held every year so that the alumni understand the problems faced by us and thus help us in a better way. The seniors are also very helpful and supportive.

The so called exams cannot be used to evaluate the knowledge of an engineer. Only 3 exams are conducted in every semester an they are very chilled. Exams come and go very smoothly. The result too comes within 2 weeks. Hence their isn't much tension. But since no gap is given between the tests, not all students are able to prepare well for the exams.

All the faculties are very well qualified and are very deep rooted in their field of interest. They have answer to all the doubts put forward by the students. But none of the faculties are much concerned about whether the students are understanding or studying their subject.
