Course Curriculum Overview
Yes! Faculties here are well experienced and trained. The college also provides us with industry insights by conducting regular workshops and also we have a specific subject in every semester which helps us with the specialization subject. Also, the college calls on companies for internship and they take students through their exam pathway.
Placement Experience
The college provides an average placement of 90% students. The top companies that join the campus of pracement drive are IBM, Dell, VMware, Exxon Mobil etc. The college prepares us for the placements right from the 3rd year. We also have subscription of some organizations which prepare us for the aptitude also.
College Events
Hackathons are conducted. Also, there is a technical fest called ignite in which students are given opportunity to showcase their research projects, startup ideas and some of them also gets funds from the college. For cultural we have our college fest named as Uurja. In the past years, we had Hardy Sandhu, Parmish Verma, DJ Sunburn and many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Although the fee for courses is very high. Doing B.Tech from here is expensive unless you could afford giving 13 lacks for your graduation. The college accepts various modes of payment including, Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI and Net Banking. For the offline payment mode we can submit Demand Drafts also. And yes, we are provided with a detailed fee invoice with all the fee-breakdowns listed.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I don't have any loans or scholarships. Though the college provides scholarships based on the semester results.
Campus Life
Well, the sex ratio of my class is approx 50-50. The college regularly holds inter state or intercity sports tournaments. The labs here are average. We have various student chapters some of them include ACM, Microsoft Technical Community etc. These chapters hold various workshops like coding events with cash prizes and also they hold some fun activities like treasure hunt etc. The students and environment is diverse. We also have foreign exchange programs, so we have students from carious Countries.
Hostel Facilities
No, I stay at a PG. The hostels provide double and triple room accommodations. The mess here is good. The hostel accommodation is given on first come first get basis. Though it was available at the time of my admission, still I opted out for hostel accommodation.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior interaction in the college is not so good. To prevent ragging the juniors or the seniors are not allowed to meet officially till the freshers and yes in the cons of this leads to less interaction with the seniors.
Admission
Through the University Entrance Examination. I chose this college because I wanted to study mainframe technology and this was the only university which offered B.Tech - CSE in specialization in Mainframe Technology. The admission counselling was held on 27th July 2017
Faculty
The course holds an avg of 56-60 lectures every semester for a total of 8 semesters. The average age of faculties here is 30-45 years. Most of them hold a PhD degree on their subject and they have industry experience also. The lectures and the curriculum is updated every year in sync with the current technology and industry requirements.
