Remarks

It is one of the premier veterinary college of the country. College offer B.V.Sc & AH, M.V.Sc and PhD programme in veterinary sciences and B.Sc programme in fisheries science. The college has glorious past. Moreover it provide facility of hostel and it is a govt college so fee is affordable.

Course Curriculum Overview

Bachelor of veterinary science is an undergraduate degree that comes under medical discipline. The course duration is 5 years and 6 months. Course deals with the study of medical diagnosis and treatment of diseases of all animals. For admission to UG course candidates must have passed 10+2 with biology, chemistry, physics. with minium marks 50%.Minimum age at the time of admission is 17 years. 15% of the total seats are filled by Veterinary Council of India on the basis of Neet exam for all over quota seats. For 85% seats selection of the students shall be only on the basis of merit in PVT exam conducted by DUVASU, Mathura. For this candidate must have domicile of uttar pradesh.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience

After the completion of B.V.Sc one may work in the govt/pvt veterinary hospital and may start working as a veterinary Doctor or surgeon. You may start your own clinic.

College Events

The university is spread over on an area of 782 acre and is located in mathura cant. The main campus have building of veterinary sciences & animal husbandry, college of biotechnology, college of fisheries sciences. The has guest house, gymnasium helipad, ATMs, post office. Clinical department offer X-ray and ultra sound facilities. Students welfare set up in the university looks after the basic amenities for the students. library has facilities of photo machine and computer with internet connection. There is squash court also available.

University has nine hostels for boys and girls. Hostels are well ventilated, neat and clean. Hostels are provided with Wi-Fi internet connectivity. Each hostel has common room. Mess facility is available. hostels are managed by hostel warden.

Is AKTU right choice?

Placement Experience:

Placement cell does provide opportunities for getting placed in many organisations, however the primary focus is on just getting students placed regardless of organisation's reputation and the job profile. The placement process begins from 7th semester. MNCs don't approach this college for the course, which a very big backlash. Highest package offered was 4.2 LPA and average package was somewhere around 2-3 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

From 8th sem clg placement starts the companies like infosys hcl tcs airtel and many more comes the highest package was rs 12.50 lakh by a senior girl of btech and the avg package is 6 lakhs around 90 percent+ get the placement somehow teacher also use their public relations to get their students placed so the package differs but placement happens at high rate ....my plan is to prepare for govt job and get a job at pwd as assistant engineer
