Remarks

Positive- The college is old and so prestigious, teachers, students, seniors and all staff are highly cooperative. A lot to learn to gain knowledge. Negative- Class hours are really hectic. Poor infrastructure of college campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The Course year is 5.5 years. It was never a chilled day. When you are determined to be a good veterinary doctor you leave behind all your comfort just to serve the animals and humanity too. Yes lab practicals and theory classes and exposure to practical field all goes hand in hand simultaneously with conduction of various workshop, research programmes, seminars, tours, industrial visits, ambulatory etc

Placement Experience

4

Yes it does provide an internship to the students in the final year after completion of 4.5 yrs of professional years. And yes they do get stipend and scholarship for that. And after completion of the course/degree they are eligible to appear the OPSC exam conducted by the State govt. And can apply for various govt. Post.

College Events

4

Various events are celebrated throughout the year. New year celebration, world's veterinary day celebration, Interbatch dramatics competition, annual vet fest, musical nights hungama, Welcome freshers day, farewell day celebration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

20000

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the college do provide study loans to the needy students. And also there is provision of scholarship facilities for merit students by the College. MEDHABRUTI is a good scholarship. PRERANA is a Scholarship granted to students of poor economical background.

Campus Life

2.5

Girls are less in number in college as compare to boys 1:2 ratio. There are Dramatic society, literary society, atheletic society in the college and they organise events annually. Lab are not so good to demonstrate certain practical due to limitations of equipment and resources other wise it's fine. Definitely diversity if great here. Students from different social, economic and religious background study here in the friendly environment without any hesitation or racism

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the alumni and seniors are very very helpful. No matter where they are posted in the country they are always ready to help. They teach and guide during exams. They make us understand difficult topics. They treat us like their own family members. We interact with them daily in clinic and hospital and also with those who are posted in fields.

Admission

I appeared the extrance exam of this University which occurs every year. All 12th passout are eligible for this exam. I was preparing for entrance exam after 12th. My rank was good in the entrance exam and fortunately i also got seat in this College as the seats are limited in veterinary college as compared to other colleges under the OUAT University.

Faculty

4

They are highly qualified, experienced, polite, full of life skills and knowledge helpful in academic subjects, they have a great vision for everything. They also help in extra curricular activities and most of the teachers teaching here are the alumni of this prestigious College only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course gives you the right to treat animals and pursuing you a very respectful degree. There is no improvement I need in course curriculum and teaching methods because the teachers are so experienced and the teachers are studies from a very high rated institute such as IVRI Bareilly. The difficulty level of exams is moderate and it is not easy like other degrees such as Btech, Biotechnology etc. You have to study so hard and regularly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I didn't get into MBBS at first, I used to run away from veterinary because it was never my first choice, but as I kept growing, I got to know the opportunities and vastness of this field, which motivated me to keep going. You can do whatever you want after BBVSc, be it a government job as an VO or preparing for civil services, or you can open your own clinic in any city. Exams happen every 3 months or 3 times, which you have to pass so that you can sit in final exams that happen just after the 3rd internals. Internals usually are easy, while final exams are moderate and hard, along with the practicals also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course, i.e. Veterinary Sciences, because I was keenly interested in the research areas in animal biology right from my formative years. I gained inspiration from my father and his colleagues who worked as research scientists at ICAR ( Indian Council of Agricultural Research). The faculty-student ratio is good, everything is according to the rules laid down by the government, as it is a state government institution. All the faculties of our college are doctors and PhD degree holders. The teaching method includes marker-whiteboards, projectors and learning by observation of the specimen. As of now, according to MSVE-2016, the schedule is annual, which includes three internal assessments and one external assessment at the end of each year. The duration of the course is 5.5 years, which includes one year of internship. Since it is a professional course, the subjects are not easy, and a consistent amount of hard work is required to retain the acquired knowledge and pass.
