Remarks

After my intermediate from PCB stream, I gave various entrances like neet, aiims, bhul, etc. UPCATET was one of them. I was unable to secure a good rank to get a government medical college. But through UPCATET and going through the simple counselling process I was able to get into the Bachelor of veterinary and animal sciences 5 years professional degree programme. The admission process is like- For U.P. state domicile students 85% of seats are reserved. The rest of the 15% seats are filled through neet score from all over India. The upper age limit is 25 years of age to appear in upcatet exam. A relaxation of 5 years is given if sc/st/obc if they fulfil other eligibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

One should be an animal lover if they want to go long in this field according to me. As options are surplus after graduation. Like government Veterinary officer, Surgeon, clinician, a nutritionist in any feed firm, gynaecologist, etc. Some can go into academics after their PG PhD. And some even join civil services as there are many vets is also. Faculty: Student ratio is 1:4. I can say this college has the best faculty from the best prestigious colleges of India like gbpuat Pantnagar, ivri izzat Nagar, duvasu Mathura, ndri karnal, etc. As faculty is good so the students taught by them will also be far good. And if they are taught well so the exams conducted will also be easy to crack which consist of 3 internals and 1 external per annum.

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship is conducted at various national zoological parks, city government veterinary hospitals, etc. In which students go through clinical and non clinical works both. Related to nutrition, gynaecology, surgery, pathology, microbiology, diagnostic techniques, etc.

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible for campus placements during the internship programmes. Placement shell is available at the university level. Various immunologicals companies, feed firms, etc. visits. others go for government Veterinary officer in states like U.P. or Gujarat. Placement is almost 100% if someone wants to serve as a veterinary officer in Gujarat.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no fee hike policy till now. There are 3 kinds of seats available in this programme. 1. Free seat- 71650 per annum. 2. Paid seat- 71650 per annum + 10 lakhs in divided instalments. 3. NRI seat- 71650 per annum + 17 lakhs in divided instalments. The stipend is there during the internship. The scholarship is also there from samaj Kalyan.

Campus Life

5

Foundation day is celebrated every 2nd of October with full pop and show. The college has a separate library including the Central Library which is the largest in West U.P. Classrooms are amenities with good infrastructure, smart boards, etc. Sports facilities are also we'll n good. Every year team goes to the national level to play with mostly gbpuat Pantnagar. A cultural club is there which also participate at the national level.

Hostel Facilities

5

Facilities provided in hostel room are- basics like the chair, table, almirah, bed etc. Hostels have their separate mess with a good quality meal. The menu is followed according to the hostellers choice with ample variety. The registration process is simple for the hostel and is easily available. All is one has to submit the hostel fee and the room is given accordingly with occupancy of 1 or 2 with no partiality. The locality is good. If someone doesn't want to rent a hostel, nearby PGs or flats are available at all rates.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course gives you the right to treat animals and pursuing you a very respectful degree. There is no improvement I need in course curriculum and teaching methods because the teachers are so experienced and the teachers are studies from a very high rated institute such as IVRI Bareilly. The difficulty level of exams is moderate and it is not easy like other degrees such as Btech, Biotechnology etc. You have to study so hard and regularly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I didn't get into MBBS at first, I used to run away from veterinary because it was never my first choice, but as I kept growing, I got to know the opportunities and vastness of this field, which motivated me to keep going. You can do whatever you want after BBVSc, be it a government job as an VO or preparing for civil services, or you can open your own clinic in any city. Exams happen every 3 months or 3 times, which you have to pass so that you can sit in final exams that happen just after the 3rd internals. Internals usually are easy, while final exams are moderate and hard, along with the practicals also.
