Remarks

The college is excellent in terms of infrastructure and facilities but the management is somewhat lazy on the administrative part, rest all the aspects of the college makes it an excellent place to study.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

We here, at the campus, study a total of 17 subjects in a course of 5 and 1/2 year (which is the course duration) and it follows the yearly system. The subjects are bifurcated according to the curriculum set up by Veterinary Council of India. We are being taught by eminent professional of this field who have mastered the knowledge in their field of study. Starting from basic knowledge to the most advanced practices and techniques, we will be taught each and every aspect relating to Veterinary Science. After the completion of degree, we will be independent to choose from a wide varieties of interest, be it research, industrial job, further studies, medical professionals etc. All in all, after the completion of the course, we will be independent to do our respective jobs.

Placement Experience

4.5

There are a few companies that hire individuals after the completion of the course, though, there may or may not be in-campus placements. In India, this course comes with mandatory one year Internship. Though I have not availed it yet but I will be availing it in the last Professional year of my studies. After the internship, I can easily apply for a job in private sector or government job. The number of in-campus placements are very few and college gives a one weak orientation course to all the students to prepare for the placements.

College Events

3

The college hosts two events annually for the students. They are Grand Annual sports event and annual cultural event in which probably all the students take part. Apart from this, there are various workshops and seminars held by government or private institutions in various fields.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fee is feasible and even an average middle class student can afford it. The payment mode accepted are by cash or demand draft. The college, after accepting the fees, provides a receipt which provides all the fee-breakdowns and is a fully transparent process. Apart from the annual fee, there is no other charges which are to be paid.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have opted for scholarship as I come under the merit rank in High school exam. Under the scholarship, all my annual fee will be waived off. There are various categories of scholarship and that has different eligibility criteria. The scholarship can be availed by filling up the online form and then submitting a hard copy of the same with relevant documents.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is good in terms of infrastructure, sociality, and educational basis. There are almost equal boys and girls coming from various cultures and backgrounds and from all over India. The college provides specialised labs for practical knowledge as well. All the extra curricular activities are covered under the Annual cultural programme. Inter-college and Inter-university programs are also held. People from different race, religion, caste, ethnicity, financial backgrounds and political backgrounds live in peace and harmony and have mutual brotherhood amongst them. The place where the college is situated is also a peaceful city.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I have opted for hostel and the college has seperate hostels for boys and girls. The room are adequately big and spacious. It is alloted in sharing of two. The charges are nominal as it is government subsidised. The hostel provides basic facilities and good security. If one wants to opt for PG, is readily available and the average rent can range upto Rs.2000 to Rs.5000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni and seniors are extremely friendly and co-operative. They do help the juniors with study and other stuff, though, they want respect and discipline while being approached.

Admission

I wanted to do something for animals, so what better than becoming their doctors, that's why I choose to become a Veterinarian. For pursuing this course, after my 12th class examination from Biology stream (which is compulsory), I appeared for MPPVFT which is the state level exam in Madhya Pradesh state for admission to the Veterinary Colleges of the state. Then after scoring a merit rank of 235 in the exam, I was alloted this college thourough online counseling.

Faculty

4

There may be 80 to 85 lecturers working full time as Assistant professor or professor to teach the students. For the lecturers, it is mandatory to have a Ph.D in their respective subject and the age group is set between 18 to 45. All the lecturers are alloted to the college on the basis of entrance exam held by University Grants commission of India. Since they are highly educated, they provide first hand knowledge and absolute clarity about the subject. They may or may not have relevant industry experience because that is not a criteria for becoming lecturer in India, but they do have a strong hold in their subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course gives you the right to treat animals and pursuing you a very respectful degree. There is no improvement I need in course curriculum and teaching methods because the teachers are so experienced and the teachers are studies from a very high rated institute such as IVRI Bareilly. The difficulty level of exams is moderate and it is not easy like other degrees such as Btech, Biotechnology etc. You have to study so hard and regularly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I didn't get into MBBS at first, I used to run away from veterinary because it was never my first choice, but as I kept growing, I got to know the opportunities and vastness of this field, which motivated me to keep going. You can do whatever you want after BBVSc, be it a government job as an VO or preparing for civil services, or you can open your own clinic in any city. Exams happen every 3 months or 3 times, which you have to pass so that you can sit in final exams that happen just after the 3rd internals. Internals usually are easy, while final exams are moderate and hard, along with the practicals also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course, i.e. Veterinary Sciences, because I was keenly interested in the research areas in animal biology right from my formative years. I gained inspiration from my father and his colleagues who worked as research scientists at ICAR ( Indian Council of Agricultural Research). The faculty-student ratio is good, everything is according to the rules laid down by the government, as it is a state government institution. All the faculties of our college are doctors and PhD degree holders. The teaching method includes marker-whiteboards, projectors and learning by observation of the specimen. As of now, according to MSVE-2016, the schedule is annual, which includes three internal assessments and one external assessment at the end of each year. The duration of the course is 5.5 years, which includes one year of internship. Since it is a professional course, the subjects are not easy, and a consistent amount of hard work is required to retain the acquired knowledge and pass.
