Remarks

Management is well established and works perfectly fine. It is one of the best college to pursue engineering.

Entrance Preview

I took CET as entrance exam and scored 179 out of 200 marks. This is government aided autonomous engineering college. It is a reputed college and has good placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus is upgraded by faculty every year as new developments in engineering are made. This is the benefit of autonomy. All core subjects have good faculty. For final year project college provides fund and helps in research. Various times college professors have got money grant from government for research projects.

Internships Opportunities

Each department provides internship offers for third year students. Some faculty members provides internships through their contact. Some companies provide stipend for internship about Rs 2500 per month. It is great experience learn

Placement Experience

Around 30 to 40 companies visit college for placements every year. It includes both core and non core companies. Job opportunities are good in reputed companies like L&T, tata. Average salary is 4.5 lpa. Highest offer being 7 lpa. Around 85% students get placed and other opts for higher studies.

College Events

There are technical, cultural and sports event organised in the college. Technical event is SPECTRA, Cultural event is SPACE and sports event is SPIRIT. Students from all colleges of Mumbai come to SPCE for these events. Cash prizes and certificates are given to winners. It is organised by students in even semesters. Around 500-600 students participate in 3 days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In year 2016 fees for first year open category students were 70,000. For castes fees is less. It is feasible for all.It remains same for all 4 years. Fee includes tuition fees, development fees. Total fees include library fee, internet facility fees, ghymkhana fees, and form fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does not provide loan or scholarship. But student department helps all students who get scholarship from government and to those who get fee waiver for castes.

Campus Life

Campus life is excellent. College campus is excellent and vibrant. College has 3 branches mechanical, civil, electrical. Gender ratio is approximately 70:30 (70 boys per 100 students). Students from all over Maharashtra take admissions. Students participate in extra curricular activities like BAJA, SUPRA racing , Robocon, etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is provided to students who are from outside Mumbai. Almost 90% students get hostel. There is also girls hostel. Hostel fees are 31000 per year excluding mess. Mess fees are around 3000 per month. Hostel admission is completely based on entrance exam merit. Hostel has friendly environment. 3 students live in each room.

Alumni/Alumna

SPCE is founded in 1962. It has wide alumni network. They help college to get new companies for placements. There is alumni meet every year. Seniors guide for MS, MTech and other higher education.

Exam Structure

There is exam after every 4 weeks which is called as test 1 &2. At the end of semester there is End Semester Examination. In test 1 and 2 each subject carries 20 marks. End semester carries 100 marks. Also 50 marks are for internal revaluation. It is all clubbed together and CPI out of 10 is given.

Faculty

Most of the faculty has 10-15 years of experience. Professors are fluent and teach very well. This reflects in students results as they have got good ranks in university when college was under Mumbai university. Faculty use all new methods like use of projectors for teaching. Most of then are PHD holders.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student,and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.

I talk with most of the senior and faculty and placement cell start of 3 rd year you will get internship opportunities and and in 4 th year you will get placement opportunity. From sem 7 students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Accenture,Wipro, Microsoft, HyperVerge have visited college. In 2020 highest package was 30 lac per annum by Amazon. Last year only 40% students got the placement. I am planning for competitive exams after degree.

The placement percentage in my college is nearly 70-80%. The minimum package offered is 2.5 LPA and the highest is nearly 33 LPA . The average package is 4-5 LPA. Many companies vists are college as our college is NAAC accredited which has a grade of A+.
