Remarks

I chose Ihm Bangalore because it is one of the top rated hotel Management colleges in India. Also it has a high percentage of placement. It is also run by the central government. In order to get admission in the central government HM institutes the students have to give a joint entrance exam (NCHM-JEE) conducted by National Council Of Hotel management. After the results are out the students have to fill up an online form and fill in the choice of institutes that they would like to study in and they are allocated institutes according to the rank secured in NCHM-JEE exam. The students can apply for upgradation of seats by going into the second or third round. Website for the college is :www.ihmbangalore.com The only thing bad about this college would be that as it is more than 40 years old some of the equipment are worn out.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

All the aspiring hoteliers choose this course and I was on of them.a Also this is a dual degree course as it offers a bachelor's certificate in tourism from the Indra Gandi National Open University (IGNOU). The faculty student ratio would be 1:45. The faculty chosen for these institues should have a Master's degree in H&HA. The theory and the practical classes are well balanced for the better understanding of the students. There are theory as well practical examinations held 4 times a year(2 mid-sems and 2 end -sems). Regular attention in the classes and a week's revision befor the exams is enough for you to pass the examinations.

Placement Experience

4.5

Semester 5 students are eligible for sitting in the placement. The companies that visit the college are from the hospitality sector, retail sector, as well as restaurants.

College Events

4

There are 4 major clubs in the college which organise events all over the year. There is not any necessity for buying the books but you have to maintain a journal for both theory amd practical classes. The books can be taken for reference through the library or can be bought by the recommendation of thr teachers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The 1st sem fees as well as the admission fees is to be deposited at the time of admission and then fees is paid for each sem till the 6th semester. The fees are hiked by a certain percentage every year. There no scope of scholarship but the percentage pf getting on campur jobs is likely higher

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are 3 people accommodated in the hostel. They ate provided with meals 2 times a day and 3 times on weekends. Meal is good. Hostel is affordable.there is a cupboard for each student and a table and chair.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
