Remarks

I've only applied for IHM Bangalore because I just wanted to live in Bangalore city and also the college was among the top 3 hotel management colleges in India. I've availed the OBC quota and there are reserved seats for obc, sc/st , kashmiri migrant and others if any Admission process was very easy and the guys on the admission cell will help you out in the complete admission process and make it hassle-free

Course Curriculum Overview

3

As the majority of the ihmites i also had an interest in cooking and dreamt of being a chef that's the major reason I took ihm The faculty-student ratio is around 1:60 Except for a few faculties everyone is well qualified and are very good and helpful There are midterms and sem exams in each sem both theory and practicals for end term exam and assessments are conducted for midterms for the practical internal marks it's not that difficult to pass if you understood the basics

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship is part of the syllabus and is a must for every student A student can choose between any 5-star property that is offering an internship and has to complete 120 days The college training cell conduct interviews for internship or students can try from their own end without the help of the college every region will have a placement coordinator for conducting the interview and all The stipend will start from a minimum of 1000/month to 5000/month will be depending on your property

Placement Experience

3.5

students become eligible for placements from 5th sem onwards possibly every major hotel brands visited and also a vast variety of retail chains from employees to management trainees a good number of offers are made ABOVE 90% (Before covid-19) possibly migrating abroad

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is a little bit on the higher side when looking into the college infrastructure and campus as compared to other IHMs. But it is heavily priced after Covid-19 when we don't even have practical classes in college and there are no proper classes for practicals online and the fee is around 50k per sem even for these online classes There are scholarships and other financial help provided for those who are eligible am in need of Placements are very good before the time of covid-19 but not even close now

Campus Life

4

There is Theme lunch, Annual days, sports day and many other events conducted by the college and is a good thing for students to express their talents apart from the hospitality background About 85% of our textbooks are available in the college library and also other study materials which are very useful for the students since every subject has its own personal classrooms students doesn't have a permanent classroom so every classroom has its own amenities as per the needs especially for practical classes Since the college doesn't have a playground the annual sports meets are conducted on different grounds like football in turfs badminton in indoor courts the organizers arrange these and all the finals for these and the athletics happens in St.Johns medical college ground Koramangala There are 4 clubs for the 4 main subjects which students can take part in and they organize many events throughout the academic year

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel life in the first year is the best experience you'll ever have in the college basic 3 sharing rooms with individual shelves for each and a balcony 3 coats are provided bed and other things should be purchased individually according to your preference and the bathroom is a common bathroom on each floor Hostel meals are not so good but comparing to other hostels it's way better register for a hostel at the time of admission and you'll get it through allotment no matter what you'll get a hostel for sure even if it's late you just need to wait for the allotment Not affordable for all hostel is in the worst locality possible middle of a local residential area with full of localities and worst is that it is 10 km away from college traveling to college is easy through metro but not very convenient Also, the locality happens to make problem with the students every time they got a chance used to throw big stones at the hostels like a political rally or something
