Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

After my secondary education, i did one year iti course in food production and that made me to learn more about this industry,so the best option was to go for ihm.there are around 15 teachers for total of 700 students.all the faculties are well experienced in terms of the industry and teaching and their teaching method mainly focus on practical classes.we have total 6 semesters and all the semester end exams are well timed.if u attend the classes regularly,it is easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Our college provide NOC for any hotel we like for doing the internship.every student has to do internship for 4 months and for me i got 1250 rs per month for doing my internship in a taj property. after the training we have get sign from each department head in a log book and get sign in performance appraisal forms also. After that we have to prepare a report on our training and submit to the external after returning to college.then we have to appear for a viva exam which will be asked by external.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 5th semester onwards students can sit for sit for the placement.almost all the hotel brands and all leading outlet brands along with all other qsr and other retail brands visits college for placements.this year the highest package offered is 500000/annum and average is 400000/annum for management trainees.previous year there was 200% placements.my plan is to go abroad for higher education.

Fees and Financial Aid

For my batch it was around 55000 rs per each semester in the first 2 years and when it comes to final year this went up to 70000 rs.there are some other cost other than this like uniform, university fees, exam fees etc.there is one scholarship called bonafide and most of the categories are eligible to apply for this.most of the students will get placement and they have an average salary of 40000 per annum.

Campus Life

2.5

Comparing to other colleges campus life in the college is poor because of the conduction of events.we barely have events such as sports day.we have a good library which consist of all the books related to the industry.i would say the classrooms are average cause of least modern equipments used in practical class.we have four main clubs for food production, food and beverage service, housekeeping and front office which is smoothly run by the respective students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Comparing to other hostels, our hostel was having spacious rooms which consists of 3 beds for 3 students and also have balcony in each room.In our time the meal was a mix of north and south food.mostly i used to eat from a nearby Kerala restaurant. registration process of hostel will be done when you appear for the registration in college u will be alloted to hostel according to your rank.you can easily get cheap pgs near the college but i wouldn't recommend it for a first year student.

Admission

Admission is through nchmjee exam.for this you have to pass one entrance exam, mainly english knowledge, aptitude, maths, general knowledge is asked in this.you can visit nchmjee site for applying this.application fees is below 3000. Some reservation benefits are available..for me i was in obc and my rank was around 2500 and i got selected in ihm Bangalore which is ranked among 3.admission procedures were all quick and easy.
