Internship Scenario In DTU

I attended DTU because I always wanted to. Since it is one of the best colleges in India and honestly saying the placements were good too. I had got admission to Maharaja Agrasen college as well but I chose DTU Over IP. I had been to DTU before got admission into it and I liked the campus as well. So these are the two reasons to join DTU. Before my first day at college that is 1 August 2016, I had my documents verified, It took my whole day to got them verified. I had read about DTU on the internet but I don't know on which site exactly. More or fewer reviews were good.

I am very fascinated by cars, this is the only reason I chose mechanical engineering. My first preference for selecting the courses was mechanical only without a second thought. most of the faculty was good, but everyone knows nothing is perfect, there is always some exceptions. Exams were not that hard, if you start studying 2 weeks before, you will easily pass the exams. So My overall experience was good.

Yes, DTU offers internship opportunities on campus for students in the fifth and sixth semester. MNCs like Bain & Co, Hero, Siemens came for the internship program. To get the internship, students had to go through an average of 3 stages. The first is aptitude round, the second is GD and the third is personnel Interview by clearing that students get an internship (mainly paid).

The placement scenario was good. From the seventh semester, students become eligible for campus placements. around 70-80 percent of students got the placement. There was a rule that if you have one offer in your hand you cannot sit for another company so that everyone will get a chance to grab opportunities. MNCs like Deloitte, KPMG, E&Y, PWC came for computer science and IT. I got the degree and I got into collegedunia so I am happy now :)

Fees of DTU is higher as compared to other colleges like Ip university's colleges. I know placements and faculty were good too that justifies this fee, but I think It could be lesser. My first year fee was 1.35 lakhs and it kept increasing till my fourth year. I didn't get any scholarship or financial assistance.

Life while studying at DTU was very good. I was a day scholar so I had to do up down from college to my home which is in Rani Bagh Delhi. Dtu campus is big and beautiful and when the annual fest happens it can not be better looking. The library is of decent size, it is for 3 floors and I did not find any difficulty finding books as there is assistance there. Overall the campus is very good and has all the things that you want to have.
