Remarks

Very good engeering college but for Mca this is not good placement ratio is very less comparetively to cs/it.

Entrance Preview

I gave Pre MCA Exam, Which is compulsary for getting admision in any madhya pradesh engineering college, My marks on that exam was 62/100, my rank was 256 in general category and 72 in obc category i choose this college,Because its a top Engineering College of madhya Pradesh the placement ratio is also vary good there are atlest 10-15 company visit for placement and these are top most company of india, e.g TCS INFOSYS, WIPRO etc.

Internships Opportunities

Exposure (1/5): Very few students go for internships. But there are some exceptions like mechanical dept which has continuously impressed even on an international level. BAJA was something that I want to point to. Overall, the students need much more exposure of technology and ideas.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements (3/5): Its okay, neither good nor bad. If you don't really screw up your college grades, you'll definitely have an offer letter in hand at the end of placement season and if you are better than average, you'll probably have more than one. But if you go by the average salaries that are offered, its bad. Majority of placed students (80%) join companies like Infosys Accenture and others in the same salary range (3-5 LPA). Mechanical dept sees comparatively better opportunities than other dept. For computer science and IT, Microsoft is the only dream company that can be mentioned here. Amazon, Google, Oracle, Adobe, Directi, Goldman Sachs and similar ones DO NOT visit here.

College Events

3.5

Exposure (1/5): This is the field which requires huge improvement. Tech-fests are organized but they are as good as not having them. College administration usually avoids funding from external sources. So don't expect a celebrity coming and performing, GS just can't afford it. Students' participation in inter college events, techfests etc that are organized in other colleges is also quite less though I am seeing some improvements here. Very few students go for internships. But there are some exceptions like mechanical dept which has continuously impressed even on an international level. BAJA was something that I want to point to. Overall, the students need much more exposure of technology and ideas.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is expensive for IT,BM in engineering, and in other its ok.For MBA and MCA it is very expensive.Comparing it with likes of IITs NITs, BITs, its very poor. Some labs are okay. But again, its better than most of other colleges of the state. No bus facility is there. Canteen is good. The campus is very green and a really nice place in the heart of city. Although its irrelevant yet I still I want to mention that both railway station and bus stand are very near and so are few shopping malls.

Fees and Financial Aid

i never heard about scholarship, i think were very less scholarship plan that's the reason i never heard about this.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel (2.5) The college has both boys and girls hostel but seats are limited and allotted based on your rank in admission test. Its cheaper to stay in hostel than staying out. The quality of students here is same as that of entire college - geeks, smarts, dumbs, you'll find all. The infrastructure of hostel is poor, really poor. Maintenance is worse. Mess food is as good as a mess food can be, but there is an option of opting out of hostel mess and eat at some other place which usually will be equally bad. I stayed in hostel all 4 years of BE. The atmosphere there is as that of a typical hostel can be. Friendships, fun, booze, smoke, last night studies, you'll experience all. You'll get to learn a lot of stuff there, believe me. Don't leave if you get a change to stay. You can always leave it after a semester if you don't like it, this seldom happens though.

Alumni/Alumna

They are very helpfull but some senior are rude they rare not good by nature alumny i never meet with any allumni i think allumni network is weak in sgsits.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very good. they will conduct exam every 4-5 month, there is 1 month gap between even and odd sem and i think its enouggh for taking rest between semesters.they give result after 1 month of exam and ther is proper schedule for conducting exam.

Admission

I gave Pre MCA Exam, Which is compulsary for getting admision in any madhya pradesh engineering college, My marks on that exam was 62/100 my rank was 256 in general category and 72 in obc category.

Study the knowledge base of teaching and learning. You have chosen to teach in higher education because you are a subject-matter specialist with a tremendous knowledge of your discipline accept all who enter the classroom door. Much has been written about underprepared students who enter college. Since more students attend college now than ever before, it is only rational that some are not as prepared as we might expect. Plan for instructional management for decades, college instructors never thought of classroom management as something they had to plan, but times have changed and today’s college students need to know what’s happening.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a tech geek I like to work on computer or designing programs . The course was a ladder for my dreams but I come from a middle family and after searching a while I found that it's more suitable for me to study in a government college due to financial condition. They taught us well what was in our syllabus, I think if there were smart classes that should add a plus point in the college after all a course about computer applications and while teaching computers are not included sounds bad . Exams and tests were conducted time to time and as the course ascends exams get quite difficult.
