Remarks

The admission process begins nearly in the mid-may to the first week of July. The application form is released in the week of April. The courses have different criteria for some you have to appear in the entrance exams. So, I decided to choose this college because it is dedicated college for sciences with good infrastructure, one can reach easily via metro or other modes of transport since it has good connectivity with both Delhi Noida and Ghaziabad. I wanted to opt for electronics so I appeared after checking the cut-off and the college campus was quiet clean and lively the classrooms are spacious and equipped with projector and AC facilities too. The college focuses on academic development as well as curricular. The labs are equipped with proper electricity and instruments. I read reviews and other details regarding on collegedunia itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

So the main reason for choosing the course was my interest in technology with effective fees. The course is very well designed according to the latest technologies, the student gets to learn the core concepts, as well as skill enhancement courses, are there. The student to teacher ratio is 1:34. The teachers are very well qualified to have masters and PhD degrees. The teaching method is satisfactory too. The emphasis on fundamentals learning along with proper conducting of practicals. The course is based on CBCS so you have various choices for other skill enhancement courses too. The exams are conducted twice a year semester based and various timely internal exams are conducted. The semester exams are held by university and also evaluated by the university just like board exams. Practical exams are also conducted in front of am external examiner. Various clubs are there too like robotics club, mathematics club etc. But sometimes too much attention is given on academics I feel.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell conducts various placement drives yearly from time to time. 5th and 6th-semester students are eligible for placements. Reputed companies like Wipro, TCS, Chegg and various other companies come for placements. The average salary is 1.8L/annum and a maximum of students get placed. I am also looking for both placements and further studies too.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fee is the main point I chose the course since I couldn't afford to spend so much on the engineering course. The fee is moderate or I would say very effective approximately 16K plus examination charges 3K for a year. One can apply for scholarships too according to the income criteria. 50%-60% waiver is given. The hike is not much only 1-2K hike or maybe the same. There are various opportunities for internships and a dedicated placement cell of the college for on-campus placements. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Chegg etc. visit for the placements.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is good too. There is a big ground for various sports activities, herbal garden and greenery around the campus. There is an amphitheatre for various events. One can enjoy the beauty of college from the amphitheatre. The annual fest Kaarvan is conducted every year. It's a two-day event where various inter-college cultural activities are conducted, star performance is also there. Various stars like Hardy Sandhu, Akhil, Jasleen Royal have performed. The students participate in various sports on inter-college, state and national level and win various accolades there are yearly sports and technical fests too conducted by various departments. Various societies like fashion society, poetry society music and like this more than 14 societies are there.

Placement Experience:

The placements at Kirori Mal College are respectable and are getting better. The fifth semester is typically when students become eligible for campus placements. Numerous well known bussineses like Deloitte, KPMG, EY et. Approximately 50-60% of students are placed through campus drives each year. The average package is approxiamtely 5-7 lakhs per year. After getting the degree I plan on applying for a masters degree in the same field.

The course is good but placement is very bad in the campus. The frequency of exams is 2 hours or 3 hours depends on the credit of that subject. The exam level is of moderate level. We had pass the exam studying 1 week before the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

as been from the science background I have deep interest in maths already, and I want to continue my passion for it. The proves the critical thinking the imaginary parts and the applications of mathematics. We see every day it motivates to think about these theorems. The curriculum of course is very good, but due to NEP, we have to study subjects like Hindi in our AEC which is very irrelevant to the curriculum and waste our four hours weekly in mathematics, we mainly deal in proof and theorem. There are very less real word applications that are being taught here. There are various areas for improvement like we can adapt the course or the curriculum.in universities like IITs,Cambridge Oxford and other big universities so that the placement and internship percentage can get improved in our college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested course. It's relevant to the exams in that particular field. The syllabus for life and other exams in this field. I think that there is a lack of actual real life practice in basic courses. If could be made more aligned to what we do in real life it would have been better. The exams are easy enough to pass by just studying one month before exams and submitting the internal assessments properly. There are end semester exams which gives enough time to prepare well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i believe CS hons is a decent course. The curriculum is however, very outdated. We are being taught several topics that have no relevance these days and they arent even taught properly. I believe a far better choice would be doing BTech instead since it has a better course and companies prefer that over BSc CS. In terms of preparing for the real world, i believe this course has no use since the most important parts we have to learn it ourselves. Exams are conducted once at the end of every semester (including practical and theory). However during the semesters, there are multiple tests taken to asses our knowledge regularly
