Remarks

Our college helps students in their overall development and people get placed eventually it also focus on academic courses. I would say if anything it should give more focus is on the teachers our college should have more skilled teachers who motivate students, are better in delivering topics, and guide students for their better future because it is only teachers who can make a institute or college worthy.

Entrance Preview

I gave this university exam, and i chose electrical because i was very much interested in this stream of physics.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is quite good it is designed in such a way that a student has to learn and go through the important subjects which is beneficial for higher studies and to make concepts quite clear also there are teachers who are ready to help whenever there is a need And also there are various societies based on this prospect only, so that a student who is interested in a particular stream can pursue that with ease.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, there was a lot of companies there were a lot of private and public sector companies which came for the internship process, of them many were start-ups also the stipend varies, i don't remember exactly, but it depends upon the company which came.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement and job opportunities is quite high with every student given a chance to make his/her mark a student also get many opportunity to prove himself/herself. Being placed in one company, after that also there is a chance to sit for other companies. And the ratio of placed to unplaced is quite high.

College Events

5

There are two major events which were celebrated in our college of one was cultural fest and another was technical fest in the cultural fest the importance was given to various cultural activities and societies which comprises of dance, music, literature, drama and many more and everyone was a given a chance to take part in the competitions. and it was lot more fun ton watch people perform and the another technical fest, it comprises of so many events, games, workshops and competitions. Apart from this there are other events held like MUN and various state and national level events held in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite expensive for a middle class family i was of 2012-2016 batch and for me the fee structure was 10 lakhs overall including me semester fee and mess fee excluding examination fee which was 1000 of registration and 1000 for taking the examination per sem the 10 lakh fee includes book cost and overall fee for mess and things which are given by hostel authorities including mattress, etc the structure changes every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I think the semester topper get some scholarships by the college authorities and also the branch topper but i don't know enough of this.

Campus Life

5

Campus life was entertaining and full of joy In context of gender ratio, girls was given equal chance as compared to boys to excel in various societies and events diversity was great as students from all over India were there many of us learned Bengali and Oriya in college extracurricular activities was quite helpful to pursue one's interest and gave much confidence and was also good for self development.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facilities were good enough, There was a reading room which was open 24*7 for students who liked to study. Also there were fields and garden inside the hostel for entertainment purpose the rules were strict but can be flexible for appropriate reasons and there was induction provided for people who would like to cook there own food and the mess food was better than other colleges and you can actually like to eat the food on certain days.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students were quite helpful with their experiences and better guidance, they where there to guide us, and enlighten our path also they take keen interest in us and whenever we had a doubt they cleared us all with their experience the contacts which they provided was also helpful.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was good with a gap of one day in between the exams, it was easy to prepare and revise topics labs was also taken in a good manner systematically. The time was sufficient and also exams were taken keeping in mind students requirement.

Admission

I gave the test which was taken by this university on a national level and got selected. The form was free of cost, so almost many of my friends also registered for the same and based on its placement performance, most people considers this college best among others and also the college provides so many opportunity for self development.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of our college were good help was given when asked they were thorough on the topics they taught and doubt clearance class was given apart from this if a student was interested in higher studies, proper guidance was shown overall, they were quite supportive, only if you were interested enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. The timings for sem exams are 3 hours while for quiz tests its 30 minutes. The difficulty level is average of all the exams

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology - [KIIT], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Mar 27, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
