Remarks

This college is in the Top 30 Colleges according to NIRF, the location of campus and size of it is great, It has a great placement record and is also an esteemed college. I chose this college because it is located in the capital of India and a metropolitan city.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum and Faculty Members are great. I chose mechanical engineering because it is renowned for its mechanical engineering from the past. The faculty is greatly qualified, and some of the teachers are experienced 30+ years. Exams Difficulty is moderate if you study regularly.

Internships Opportunities

College offers Internship offers. Companies such as Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Microsoft, etc., come for interns in our college and get students with 20000-60000 stipend to talented students. Placement coordinators keep us updated on the offers and new companies coming to college.

Placement Experience

From 7 Semesters, You are eligible to sit for placements and from V in internships. The highest package was around 1 crore. Almost 90% get placed, and my plans after getting a degree are to pursue analytics jobs and consultancy firms.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are a bit high and also hikes almost 10% every year. College from its own provides scholarships for low earning families(below 5 lakhs). It offers various scholarship programs and jobs on stipend such as USIP.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is great. It has a night canteen and night mess(only in exam period). The annual fest ENGIFEST is one of the biggest cultural festivals in north India. It also organizes Yuvaan, Tech fest, Ahvaan, Arena. The library is great in both quality and quantity. Classes are airconditioned and have projectors. It has a huge sports complex with three indoor badminton courts, Table Tennis, Volleyball courts, Basketball courts, Cricket ground, Football ground, Gym. There are many social clubs such as dance club(Vibe), Drama Club(Pratibhimb), Technical societies etc.

Hostel Facilities

The room is provided with an almirah; one hostel has attached bathrooms. Else others have common bathrooms that are cleaned daily, watercoolers on every floor, desert coolers are allowed with extra charges and any other heavy electrical appliance. Food is ok, but you can order affordable food from nearby restaurants.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Placement Experience:

Admission and carrier development cell is there in the college and provides good support but for average packages but for top packages only on your own self you have to grab them. One campus packages are between 3 lakhs 5 lakhs up to 10,20 lacs and highest once even up to 64 lakhs but off campus goes up to crore.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

When I had applied for JAC, I had option of NSUT or IIIT Delhi, but I had chosen this, as DTU has one of the oldest legacies, alumni network and college culture and all.
