Remarks
Honestly, I will mention some good and bad points about TAPMI. Good points: Placements were really good. All big accounts come to hire. 40 years of legacy of the college. 6000+ Alumni across the globe. Good reputation in the Corporate world. Green and lavish 44 acres campus. Many initiatives like SEVA, Samnidhy for the students. Cooperative faculties and staff. Bad points: Too much is strict in terms of rules and regulations. The curriculum is too rigorous and needs to cope up with things. Can't-miss classes. Only 10% of leaves were allowed per subject. Need to come back to the campus daily by 11:30 pm. Limited Night outs. Admission Process: Stage 1: Group discussion Stage 2: Group Activity Stage 3: Personal Interview Reasons why I choose TAPMI over KJSIM, GIM, GLIM. GIM fees are too high when compare to the average CTC. KJSIM is not a B-school, it's the university of every course. GLIM is a new college and I can't trust it.
Course Curriculum Overview
TAPMI curriculum is too rigorous and you need to work very hard to get a good CGPA. TAPMI does relative grading in the exams and it becomes very difficult to score well in the exam. I choose PGDM-Core because it is among the oldest course in B-Schools and it has good placements records from the last 40 years. I joined the 38th batch of PGDM-Core and we have 66 students allocated per section. There were around 50+ faculties present in the college. Many of them are PhD holders and all have a good knowledge of the corporate world. They train students very well according to market demand. The teaching method is good and simple. If you have any doubts then you can take a doubt session from the faculties and discuss your problems. Terms exams are most difficult to pass. You have to give your 100% to get a passing mark. Mostly case base questions come in the exam which is not easy to solve. If you study well and do attend regular classes then you will clear exams easily.
Internships Opportunities
Gartner, Deloitte, GEP, Capgemini, Infosys, Henkel, Google, Lowe, WCCLG, Your Story Media, HSBC, Citicorp, EY, JP Morgan, ITC, IBM, HP, KPMG, and many more. They offered very good roles and good projects to work on in the summer internships period.
Placement Experience
After joining the campus as 1st year your summer internship placement drive will start in just one month, all big accounts will come to give you an internship opportunity which will be converted into PPO later on companies like Capgemini, Infosys, Deloitte, Gartner, GEP were coming on campus for many years for summers. All the students get summer internships and final placements. The average placement was 12 lakh and the highest was 25 lakhs. Summer internship's highest stipend was 2.4 lakh and the average was 60k.
Fees and Financial Aid
When we compare the fee structure of TAPMI to the other B-school, then I can it is pretty much low according to their average placements. Fees were only INR 17 lakhs around. There are many scholarships available for the students according to their achievements. Everyone gets internships and final placements. The average internship stipend was 60k for two months and the highest was 2.4 lakh for 2 months. Highest CTC was 25 LPA and the average is around 12 LPA.
Campus Life
There are many fests that were organized by different committees of the Campus. Names like Brandscan, Seminars, etc were organized on the campus. There is a huge library present on the campus and you can access it any time. All classrooms were equipped with air conditioners, digital boards, and comfortable seats. There are 29 clubs and committees on the campus, name was Atharva, Placement committee, Omega, Sports comm etc.
Interview Experience
My GD topics are GST is good or bad for the Indian economy, does the government takes a decision without analyzing the situation. I have relevant work experience in my profile. I worked in companies like OYO rooms and ZoloStays. My mostly PI question was from around my work experience. Interview Question: Q1- Why do want to do an MBA? Q2- What is your biggest risk that you ever take in your life or in your job? Q3- Is your current manager is a Boss or a Leader? do you do back bitching of your boss? Q4- How much will you rate another participant present in your GD? Q5- What is the difference between online marketing and Social Media Marketing? Q6- What did you do in zolostays? what is a financial model? how do you negotiate with the owners in the market? The most important thing to crack any B-school interview was confidence. Always be updated on current affairs. Read newspapers daily. Be confident in the job that you have done.
