Remarks

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology is located in a very serene place.The finest infrastructure is provided and well maintained. The college has a very good academic and placement record. The department faculty are highly skilled and supportive. In short, the college provides you with good academics, good location and good overall experience.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college gives you a balanced environment. There are normal class hours during the day. (4-5hrs for BBA) The teaching faculty is highly educated and supportive. Exams are conducted semester-wise. Apart from studies, other extra activities are open in college.

Internships Opportunities

Many internship opportunities are available to everyone in each department. Time and again you get notified for summer internships or other such internships with a good stipend or for the experience. Off-campus internships are made available too.

Placement Experience

SMIT has a very good ranking in the North-East. (2nd Top Private College in the East Zone.) It has about 50+ funded projects. It has 95%+ placement record with good packages offered (22L+ PA highest package offered). One can avail for good internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

For BBA, 1,28,000 is the course fee on yearly basis. The college provides scholarship on the basis of the percentage scored. If joining the college through some other quota for example state quota, you pay only 50% of the total course fee.

Campus Life

Very well maintained campus with very good infrastructure. (Library/Study Hall/Sports/Amphitheater) The campus infrastructure is a must-know feature of the college for it provides with the finest infrastructure. The college has many societies/clubs open to anyone interested which helps learn/sharpen skills also refreshes one's mind. Apart from this, Departmental fests and the college annual fest KAALRAV are some fests wherein you experience college life enjoyment.

Hostel Facilities

There are 4 hostels in total. 2 for the girls. When you join the hostel, you're taken to the 1st hostel wherein 1st year are given accommodations, this gives you time to adjust to the college. Later, you're shifted to the main hostel. Hostel are well maintained and spacious for double-sharing too.The food is very good too. The weather and the location gives you overall satisfaction.

There was no placement facilities in the college honestly. I have suffered so many years but I got a job in Bank after facing so many interviews So if you are thinking that Sikkim Manipal University provide you the placement facilities, don't make a dream like this. Placement Experience:

After reaching 6th semester the students get eligible for placement. The students are trained too for the placement process.. The companies visited in our clg are Bajaj finance,HDFC Bank, Moengage,KPMG, UNIQLO etc. The highest package offered till now to my knowledge is provided by Moengage.. The package was 9.25LPA. Regarding the % of students getting placed i think it's 50 % the opportunity is provided to all but to get placed its totally upto the students. My plans after completion of my degree is to get placed in a good company as a manager. Work for 1-2 years and join iim for MBA .

Nice college for distance education

Remarks:

Initially they were providing the weekend classes to the students but later they stopped doing this. So I want them to continue that things with online lectures

No Entrance required as I applied for BBA. I selected this course because I am already working as an associate for an organisation. So I wanted to enhance my career path. Joined wisely

I was selected in for Downtown university but for my personal ease i choose to study in SMIT. No i was not being rejecte form any colleges. Due to some of my personal problems i decided to joing SMIT as wishing to study at the college situated over my own state.
