Clear all your doubts regarding SRM University Sikkim, Gangtok

I choosed SRM University bcs it was the best university in our Sikkim that was providing BBA course in an affordable rate with great curriculum needed for an overall development of business administrators. They also provides us placement and intership opportunities along with training and development. They doesn't only provide us with theoretical knowledge but alongside they also provide us with practical real world exposure.

Our college help us find an intership and we can also find our own internship in companies we like. The recent internship to my knowledge the is the role of admission assistant in SRM University itself with a stipend of 5k per month. All they had to do were contacting prospectus students and influence their decision to join SRM University Sikkim. Other than that our university do provide and assist in intership but I don't have clear idea regarding that as I'm still in my 5th semester

After reaching 6th semester the students get eligible for placement. The students are trained too for the placement process.. The companies visited in our clg are Bajaj finance,HDFC Bank, Moengage,KPMG, UNIQLO etc. The highest package offered till now to my knowledge is provided by Moengage.. The package was 9.25LPA. Regarding the % of students getting placed i think it's 50 % the opportunity is provided to all but to get placed its totally upto the students. My plans after completion of my degree is to get placed in a good company as a manager. Work for 1-2 years and join iim for MBA .

78000 per year. And it gets 10% hiked every year. But the students admitted in particular year doesn't have to pay the incremental amount. 5400 per month tuition fees , 5000 security deposit, 3000 for admission and registration together . The lab fees, exam fees and other fees we have to pay semester wise. Averagely it comes under 2000.

The annual festival of our college is the Meraki fest, the Athlone sport fest, innocrative management fest, food festival, and several other different events and fest. They are normally held in months after completion of exams. We have a well furnished Central library the availability of good books are to rate it's 7/10. We also have computer labs science labs, studio for journalism students, kitchen for htm students. Classroom are also well furnished and digitalized. Regarding clubs we have many clubs like eco club, dance clubs, melodiam club, Rotaract club, and many others.

We have hostels for both girls and boys situated in tadong and daragaon. The fees for year to my knowledge is 84000(current). Each room is either 2 sharing, 3 sharing, 4 sharing, single with washroom in each room. The food is also nice , filtered water is provided. Breakfast in the morning(8:30), the lunch at 1:00pm, snacks at 5:00pm and dinner at 8:30 is provided. Menu to be followed are chicken on Friday and Sunday and egg in wed rest days normally sabji dal. facilities like washing machine , wifi, is also available. For registration we have to book the hostel in addmission cell or during the time of admission only. When I compare the housing prices in Gangtok hostel is quite affordable with free bus . That is no transportation cost associated while going and coming from clg.

I only applied for SRM University and got admitted here. One main reason for choosing this university is the scholarship that they provide to support excellent students. And in comparison with other universities here in Sikkim like ICFAI, manipal, spu, etc the curriculum of SRM is quite good in this price. range. And regarding the admission process...it's simple and precise. No extra examination are needed eligibility is class 12 passed and equivalent to that.

I don't really have idea regarding other departments but in my department(bba)the ratio is 80:10. They are really nice and approachable. Talking about my best faculties...i cannot really segregate, all of them are nice . Regarding the exams we have tests after completion of of every units. Cycle test after completing 2 units. Model and end sem examination after completion of 5 units. The difficulty level is mid. Only 6-7% students they fail in my class. They get backpaper for that. Regarding the relevancy of curriculum...to the extent of my knowledge I think it's upto the mark.
