Remarks

I heard about this college from one of my relatives, College was established in 1984 and has a lot of reputation in Pune. About the college, because the college is in the center of Pune city the college campus is not so big ( generally other Engineering College has) and also on the campus of the school there is Muktangan English School but overall college campus is Avg as far as infrastructure is a concern. The college has 6 branches CS, IT, E&TC, Mechanical, Electrical, Printing, out of which Printing Engineering department is the Autonomous and it is the only institute in India for Printing Engineering so has almost 90% placement. CSE and IT Engineering are the best branches of this college as far as Education and Placement is a concern. Electrical and Mechanical are also very good branches. E&TC is another very good branch. Overall for placement CS, IT, E&TC are the best branches. PVG'S COET is also the nodal center of VLAB Development by IIT Bombay. And also has Digital classroom.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

All the Professors of this college are highly qualified and many of them are PHD holders in their respective subjects. As far As the E&TC department is concerned, there is a lot of highly qualified teachers who teach in their hearts and want to give the best from their side. They are very helpful and ready to deliver anything they have, but at the time of submission they are very strict, they love discipline and want everyone to be in discipline. Teachers generally take Surprise tests to make sure that whether students are doing a study or not.

Internships Opportunities

4

Yes, the college provides various Internship opportunities to students in order to get industrial experience students' college generally helps students to put the best out of them, and according to their talent, they provide opportunities in various disciplines. For students who willing to study further, College provides a GATE preparation class for students.

Placement Experience

4

If you are CS and IT Engineering student then you have almost 80 percent of the chance to get placed, as the college has tigh up with various IT industries. TCS, Wipro, Barclays, Infosys, Adobe C, Raja Software, Cognizant are the top IT companies that recruit students. For core branches, KPIT, Yamaha, ford are some of the good companies which give good package. Overall placement is much much better than other colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

For General Category students fees are 1.16lack per year, and according to various cast, it varies. The college provides TFWS ( Tution fees waiver Scheme). 100% Scholarship on Tution fees for 3 students of each branch according to their Marks in the MHT CET exam. And also provide scholarships for other than general category students.

Campus Life

4.5

The college is located in the Center Of Pune City hence the campus is not so big ( as generally, Engineering College has) but it's quite beautiful. College has Three floor main building, there are 3 building for Engineering College. Auditorium, and very huge library for students having more than 25 thousand books to refer. College generally acknowledges students and promote students to take part in various extracurricular activities and has various departments team for their internal activities. College is the nodal center of VLAB Development by IIT Bombay. And there is a coaching class for GATE preparation in college itself. Overall it is a very good college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college hostel is on the college campus itself where there can accommodation of 150 students. And also there is a different Hostel for Girls students (on-campus). Mess in college is Avg, but the overall hostel is quite good. We need to apply for a hostel after getting admission to college and then we need to wait as there is a lot of students. The overall area around the college is quite decent and around 10 to 12 thousand rent for 1BHK and around 3000 for PG students.

Interview Experience

4

To take admit we need to go through either the MHT CET exam or by JEE Mains exam according to our marks and ranking we get admission. If we are planning to take admission in the CSE department our rank must be within 2 thousand ( MHT CET) which is quite difficult. For E&TC rank must be within 10 thousand. So as per our merit, we get admission

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college are decent, especially for computer related branches. Students usually become eliggible for campus placement from the 7th semester. The placement cell conducts taining programs from earlier semesters, including aptitude tests, technical sessions and mock interviews to prepare students. Many companies visit the campus every year, mainly from the IT and software sector. Some ofthe common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant and mid level companies. A few products based or higher paying companies also visit for specific branches. The average package is usually around 4-6 LPA while the highest package can go above 10-12 LPA in some years, especially for computer science and IT students. The placement percentage varies by branch, but overall, around 70-80 % of eligible students get placed with higher percentages in computer related branches. As for my personal plan, after completeing my degree, I aim to get a good campus placement in a reputed company and start my career in the engineering field. I also plan to keep improving my technical and communication skills during the course to increase my chances of getting a better package.
