DTU -My dream college

I did my schooling in Delhi that's why I want a college which is in Delhi and I think DTU is the best option for me. As I was getting Mechanical Engineering in this college in the councelling process and I know that Dtu has the best mechanical department and lab in the whole of Delhi. The placement stats of this stream is also really good as this is a tier 1 college. Also, I got to know that this college is not only good in academics but also in other activities like fest, sports, dance and many others that's why I choose this college over any other college. And also this is near my home and that's a plus point for choosing this college. I got admission through my jee main score held in April 2018. I used many websites like collegedunia etc to find about this college and college dunia really helped me a lot as it gives me every information about every college I want to know.

As I am a mechanical student I can tell you that the mechanical department in the DTU is really good and the lab (workshop ) is the biggest among all the colleges in Delhi. Also, there are lots of machines and equipment all in really good condition. The faculties are really good and really teach you everything and share with you all the knowledge they have. There is three sections of the Mechanical Department comprises of 60 students each. All faculties are really educated and have proper knowledge of the subject and they are PhD's . The exams are not that difficult there are really easy if you are regular in class and attentive and go through the notes properly.

There are many internship opportunities you will get in college. After 4 semesters you will get internship offers paid and unpaid both on campus. You can also get an internship on campus also. For scholarship, the companies visited are mostly tech companies like google, adobe, amazon. Also, many-core companies also offer internships.

The placements here are really good.One of the main reason students took admission here is because of the placement statics and internship offers you get here. After 4 semesters you are eligible for the internship and after 6 semesters you are eligible for the placements Companies like Microsoft, Google, Adobe,Flipkart, amazon,Atlassian, hp, invidia, apple,Samsung ,codeshef ,mantra, unacademy , dell, and other more than 350 companies visited here every year More than 87 % students place on campus. The highest package here is of 1 crore to a software engineering student and the lowest od of 3.1 lacs per annum. The average package is 16.5 lacs per annum. My plan after getting a degree are to work in a really good company with a handsome salary. After that, I will do my post-graduation by preparing for the gate exam.

At my time the fees for one year was 165000. This includes tution fee, one-time refundable fees of 10000, and other fees. There are many opportunities you will get for the scholarships like if you are in the top 5 % of students in your class you will get a scholarship from DTU. Also, you can avail of the scholarship by filling the scholarship form on the district Delhi websites and you will get a scholarship accordingly. The job offers you get are really got as the average package offered here is 8 lacs of mechanical which is really good.

There is a lot to say about the fest as the Engifest is the biggest fest that held here and the biggest fest in the whole of Delhi. It generally happens in November. There are many other fests also which are really good. All books you want you will get in the library you can issue any book from there. The library is really big and you can also study there if you want to. All classrooms have a smartboard and a projector and many classrooms have Ac in them. DTU is not only known for its academics but also for its co-curricular activities like sports of every kind, dance, drama, arts, etc. There are many clubs, society like saksham ,a coding club, sports club, drama club, etc.
