Peaceful college life at MSRIT

The college has a very great history, it has a very huge campus and many other essential facilities are available nearby. It's close to all means of transport and has great placements. The admission process is very simple, after the seat is allotted by the K-CET, we need to come to the college within the given date and make the admission after the general verification process, and the remaining admission fees are to be paid in the college. I preferred this college due to its presence in the city and the exposure it offers to the student to progress ahead and also due to its placement statistics.

I chose the ISE course due to the interest that the world of IT had created in me, also I followed the footsteps of my well-wishers, seniors, and relatives. The ISE department is a very sophisticated department that is lead by a very able HOD who plans many workshops, seminars, and various activities in association with the industry, in an effort to inculcate the best industry practices among the students. The teachers at the department are well qualified and supportive of the students and proctor students on a regular basis to ensure the optimum performance of the student. The syllabus of the course is in line with industry requirements and keeps changing accordingly.

Off-campus internships are offered by colleges through many MOU's and collaborations. Also, many companies come to the campus for internship hiring and a strong network of alumni helps simplify the process.

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the end of the 6th sem and the majority of students start their internship in their 6th sem. The placement training cell provides training for aptitude, GD, and various other interpersonal skills. ITs headed by an industry person. The highest placement in the College was for 50L. Many leading tech companies arrive here for placements. About 95% of the students are placed regularly each year.

The fees under the K-CET seat were 68360 in the second year and in the third year it is 68860. The hike is very considerate. Under the merit category, a student can complete his studies in the college at a cost of about 6L considering that he stays at the college in a campus hostel.

Life at the campus is very happening. There are a bunch of restaurants and eateries along with 2 good college canteens. There are many clubs like debsoc, codeRIT, ADG, google developers club, chiraranga, musical clubs, dance club, quiz club, toastmasters, DECA, and much more. There are many sports activities that goes on round the year. There are 2 major cultural fests namely KR and Udbhav. Many technical fests keep on taking place in collaboration with the industry. There are 3 main libraries and also departmental libraries are available.

The hostel rooms are very secure and free of ragging, CCTV cameras are present at all corners, there is a local midnight canteen inside the hostel, TV room is there for entertainment. The rooms are mainly double sharing, however triple and single sharing rooms are also available. The food provided at the hostel mess is very hygienic and tasty and the best quality of food is assured along with desserts, fruits, and ice cream. There are solar water and laundry facility available. The rooms are a bit congested. But the hostel is very affordable, considering the cost of living in Bangalore.
