Remarks

My marks were not enough to help me get in north campus colleges. I was getting a handful of other colleges in a south campus like PGDAV, ZAKIR HUSSAIN etc I didn't take admission in them because: a) they were off-campus and, b) MLNCE has a lot of good societies like Monoliths (the commerce society) and eco soc which are in a booming phase. which gave me the impression that I'll get enough opportunities in MLNCE as compared to the colleges mentioned above. I took admission on 14th June 2018, The process was the same as other colleges in the university ( you can refer to (tal entertainer's video on YouTube for the same). Here you will find seniors on the exam dates who are there merely to help you out. The best thing about this college is, its timings. It starts at 3:30 pm. So it will never disturb your sleep, and you will be able to attend your coaching classes easily. The sad part is, the crowd is not too good, obviously because the good ones get better colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

B.Com Hons gives you the space to apply for a lot of masters courses. BCom prog does not. This was the prime reason why I chose this course. The faculty to student ratio stands at 1:30. which is absolutely amazing because you end up gaining enough attention from the other end. The teachers are one of the best parts of this college, They put in a lot of effort I covering the syllabus effectively, of course not all. Every family has a black sheep. The teachers, either the already hold a PhD degree or are on the verge of getting one. Exams are as same as the university standards. the period remains fixed every year. i.e one in MAY, ither in DECEMBER. Passing is quiet easy, still, you should aim at scoring high, which will not take more than a month's time of serious study.

Placement Experience

1.5

Till date, there have been no campus placements as such. Still, companies are expected to come from this year itself. Students can also register themselves in the Central Placement Cell. It helps them to get employment. provided your CGPA stands above 6.5 cgpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of our college are Rs 7000 per year only. Ao yes there is no worry concerning these. A lot of government scholarships can be availed here. Personally, I did not get any scholarship, I did not apply for any.

Campus Life

5

The annual college fest is conducted in the winter season, where we had Maninder Butter last year. Along with this MONOLITHS, The commerce society conducts some real good fests here. They conduct 2 fests every year, each of which has a participation of around 800 students from all colleges across DU. We have a well-developed library, a basis classroom, with AC in some classes. The students here are quiet enthusiast, they formed the placement cell recently, one student runs a startup called Fintock.

Other Applied Colleges

Swami Shraddhanand | Bcom hons

I was getting a better college.

The placement cell of the college has become very active from this year and is bringing various internship as well as placement opportunities in the college . Students of the 5th sem i.e. 3rd year are eligible for placements. Average package of the college is around ?5-6 lac p.a.. My plan after getting a degree is to go for a corporate job , if provided on campus well and good otherwise to find one myself off campus .

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are decent but not very high compared to North Campus colleges.Students usually become eligible for placements in the final year with decent cgpa and good skills. Some companies visit the campus for roles in sales, marketing, finance and HR. The average package is moderate and only a limited percentage of students get placed through campus. Many students prefer internships during college to gain experience and earn extra money. Some also plan for higher studies like MBA or prepare for competitive exams which I also do I personally plan to gain work experience first, earn some money and then go for higher studies. Overall, placements are average but hopefully they will increase in future.

The highest package of my college is 36 lakh per annum from bcom H programme. The placement is very nice from my collegem the average package is 6.7 lakh per annum and the median package is around 8 lakh per annum which is very good in my views. But if the students is not focusing in his academic then no college can give him placement, it's just a exception. The students become elegible for placements after 2nd year and before 3rd year basically they just got PPO that is preplacement offer. Bain & co. , de shaw , Accenture , oyo, Swiggy. I have a plan of Doing MBA after doing Bcom H form hansraj college
