Remarks

Government degree college Dharamshala nestled at the foothills of lofty Dhauladhar and mountain capped with snow is one of the oldest institutions of the state.the College offers various scholarships and awards to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college library is one of the biggest in the state which is fully computerized and Nlisted. The library has approximately 62855 books on various subjects. The college has two NCC wings separately for boys and girls and recruitment is done by selection. Nss also available in the college and the enrollment is by selection. There are three units of NSS in the college.

Class Size: 69Course Fees: INR 400 per year

There is no placement after the bachelor course. Only placement is when than students done master degree from this college.

College Events

Annual prize distribution function is held in the third or fourth week of april.prize are awarded to those students who show excellence in the fields of academics, sports, cultural, NCC, NSS and other activities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Epass scholarship for excellence students and other EWS students. The application for any of the scholarship will be accepted only if the candidate attaches copy of adhar card and photocopy of the bank a/c passbook with IFSC code.

Placement Experience:

the following is the bare bones of accommodations in HPNLU lavery centre HPNLU placements and carrer prospects :-the HPNLU students are usually allowed to have campus placements staring in the 9th semester .the placement cell is only quite young ,and thus developing at NLU . Boutique law firms and companies such as link legal and lakshmikumaran and sridharan also conduct top recruiting , and a few of the students also conduct top recruiting ,and a few of the students also get the PPO,s after the internship . packages the largest packages are normally between 10-12 LPA,with an average package of between 6-7 LPA placement percentage approximately 40-50 % of students seeking corporate jobs end up being placed off campus . plans after degree :on a personal note ,i will be exploring the world of litigation or the courts ,as the degree offerings provided by the university provide a good base in regards to competitive tests .

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. There are some improvements like more practical learning, real world exposure etc. that could be made to make this course more effecgive in real world application. The exams are conducted per semester and the difficulty level of exams is average.

I got admission in this college by a entrance test which is conducted by himachal pradesh university. It isn't easy to get admission in this college as lots of candidates apply for professional and other courses to get in BBA, i had to clear an entrance test, and then after that i was short listed in merit list for group discussion and personal interview.
