Remarks

I am from Tamil Nadu. So I wanted to join a college in northern India to get more experience. Maulana Azad Medical College is a prestigious institution which is more than 50 years old and has best minds in thr country studying here.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have to completely devote ourselves to clinical practice to understand the signs and symptoms properly. Bookish knowledge helps us a lot but practical experience gives us the confidence. We have to spend 3 years in obstetrics and gynecology combined.

Class Size: 17Course Fees: INR 89000 per year

Placement Experience

I will prefer to join a private hospital on southern india after completing my post graduation here because of language barriers which can be difficult to deal with

Extracurricular activities include badminton and table tennis spirt in hostel. Occasionally we play guitar in our free time and have fun with our colleagues. Seniors are very cooperative and cool. They are intellectual and help us.

I feel like the curriculum is a little out dated and boring but due to a good faculty it makes the course more worthwhile The curriculum is very text based and less practical and more emphasis on bookish knowledge persists still .

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

Campus Life:

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically
